Chapter Seven
Amy’s curiosity is going to be the death of me. Her first week on my ship after the meeting with her parents she wanted to start learning how things work on my ship. I have no problem teaching her. She is smart as a whip. What some might consider difficult concepts she seems to grasp easily. My main concern is that she might find herself needing to use the information at some point in the future. I sincerely hope that point never comes.
Our first stop was the bridge. There is nothing complicated about the bridge. One simply needs to understand basic navigation and guidance systems. I had to learn the hard way. The first captain I trained under wanted everyone on his crew to know how to get home if the ship were damaged in some way. That was a good lesson to know,
