Chapter Twenty-Eight
We have been going along here for almost 10 years now. Jess is now almost eleven years old. Sometimes when I look at her, I feel old. Truth be known, I am almost 50. Juliette is not far behind. She is semi-retired from being a pirate. She still does an occasional job for Patience, but Jennifer is now in charge. Patience finally stepped down and let Jennifer run the day to day operations. I have a good relationship with Jennifer. For all practical purposes, we grew up together under the tutelage of her mother, Patience. Amy will turn 30 this year, and Amelia will turn 30 a few weeks later. We are all getting old in our own way.
