I didn’t even let Aiden stop the car. I wanted to get inside and into Aria’s embrace as soon as humanly possible. I needed to hold her and feel her warmth. I needed to get right in the nook of her neck to be able to smell her vanilla scent.
I walked into the estate, up the stairs to our bedroom, and straight to the shower. Once I was done in the shower, I went to where I assumed she was. I checked the room set up for her, but she was not there. Had she woken up, and I was not aware? I ran down to the kitchen to find her sitting there eating.
