*Mateo’s POV*
I am holding Aria in my embrace when Aiden comes back into the kitchen.
“Capo, we have news.” Aiden said, making Aria tense in my hold.
“Okay, I’ll meet you in my office.” I replied, looking at Aria.
“What’s going on?” She asked while her lower lip trembled. I know she was scared, and she was trying to be strong. I rubbed both her arms up and down.
“Principessa, we have someone on the inside of Tarantino’s warehouse. He will be ending Tarantino for us. It all ends today.” I replied to her. I wasn’t scared per-se, but I was nervous. I wanted this mission to go without a hitch. I wanted to lay in bed with Aria while rubbing her growing belly. I wanted to get married in peace, not worrying about whether someone would attack me because I was distracted
