When night fell, Vivian was driven to a remote dock.
"Miss, I hear your daughter is very cute," the driver said. In the rearview mirror, his gaze was openly malicious. He pulled out his phone and flipped to a photo.
Dolly was crouched with her back to them, digging in the sand, completely unaware of their presence.
Even though she had prepared herself, Vivian's heart still clenched. "What are you trying to do?" she asked.
Clearly pleased with her reaction, the driver locked the car doors and leisurely lit a cigarette.
"I heard Miss Vance cares a lot about her daughter. That little girl really does make people feel sorry for her." Right in front of Vivian, he brazenly licked the phone screen.
" If you're going to act like a stray, take it somewhere else. Don't make a scene and disgust me here," Vivian said coldly.
Vivian did not panic. Her phone vibrated lightly in her pocket. The moment had come.
Her expression shifted, turning helpless and pleading. "My daughter is innocent. Name your price. I'll pay anything."
The driver let out a cold chuckle without replying. He sent a message on his phone. Then he flattened the seat and crawled toward Vivian.
His bulky body moved with unsettling agility. She could even smell the stale odor from his shoes. She nearly gagged.
Seeing her pale face, he grew even more smug. He reached out and grabbed her chin. "Be good. I'll be gentle."
Vivian lowered her head, her shoulders shaking as if she were crying in terror.
Just as he muttered obscenities and began unbuckling his pants, a violent surge of electricity shot straight through him.
"So should you." She pressed the stun gun hard against his stomach, finally giving the darkness in her chest an outlet. "You people are truly disgusting."
The man howled in broken screams, still spitting filthy threats.
Vivian paid him no attention. She looked down coldly as he convulsed and bit through his tongue.
His mouth filled with blood, making him look like a demon.
When the stench of urine spread through the car and the driver rolled his eyes back and collapsed motionless on the seat, Vivian calmly picked up his phone, glancing at his half-lowered pants with clear disgust.
Driver: The job's done. When is the rest of the payment coming?
It was a number she did not recognize. Ten minutes earlier, the reply had come.
Sandra: Tomorrow, I want to see a video of her ruined and spread online.
Vivian let out a quiet laugh. So the so-called first love Julian had never been able to forget for ten years had already rotted to the core.
Using the driver's tone, she posted an update online, attaching the panicked video he had just filmed of her.
She did not care about her reputation. In Seaport City's upper circles, Julian had long since destroyed it.
Driver: Bros, getting paid and getting a woman. Damn good deal.
Driver: After I'm done, I'll toss her over.
When she finished, Vivian grabbed the driver's hand with obvious revulsion and pressed his fingerprints over every place she had touched.
She shut off the phone and drove straight up the mountain. She placed her shoes at the edge of the cliff.
Then, looking at the still-unconscious driver, she dragged him to the spot closest to the drop. Those who helped evil deserved no mercy. As for whether he lived or died, that would be up to fate.
She took out her phone and called Julian. It rang once before she quickly hung up. Then she typed a message.
Vivian: Julian, I do not regret ever loving you.
After that, she tossed the phone over the cliff and turned away without looking back.
