Where are you coming from?”
The question hung in the air like poison I was terrified to inhale. Mia sat on her bed in the dark room, still wearing her red party dress, her eyes sharp despite the alcohol that should have knocked her out. The moonlight coming through the window made her look almost ghostly.
I froze in the doorway, my heart slamming against my ribs. “I… I…not even knowing what to say
Mia stood up slowly, crossing her arms. “Who dropped you off?” Her voice was deceptively calm. “And who the hell hugged you outside just now? Don’t lie to me, Lily. I saw the car. I saw everything.”
My mouth went dry. I could only lie. “My friend… Nora. She dropped me off. It was just a hug goodbye. Nothing serious.
Mia laughed a low, bitter sound that sent chills down my spine. “You’re such a terrible liar, sis. Always have been. Especially when it comes to him.” She stepped closer, her eyes raking over my wrinkled dress and messy hair. “You smell like him. Like his cologne. Did you let him touch you again? Did you spread those fat thighs for him in the back of the car?”
“Mia, please…” I whispered, tears stinging my eyes. “Nothing happened. I got dizzy and he just helped me home. That’s all.”
She stared at me for a long moment, her expression unreadable. Then she smiled that sweet, dangerous smile she used in front of our parents. “Okay. If you say so.” She turned away and climbed back into bed. “Goodnight, sister.”
The calmness scared me more than her shouting ever could.
I barely slept that night.
The next few days returned to that eerie, too-quiet routine. Mia didn’t mention the party again. She was polite at dinner, helped with chores, and even complimented my outfit one morning. But I caught her watching me constantly in the hallways at school, at home when she thought I wasn’t looking. Planning. Always planning.
Lucian kept his distance in public, but he started texting me secretly. Sweet messages that made my heart race. I can’t stop thinking about that kiss. When can I see you alone again? I replied carefully, scared Mia would somehow find out.
One afternoon after school, Mia surprised me by being nice. Really nice.
“Hey, Lily,” she said as we walked home together. “There’s a small gathering this weekend at Jake’s house. Just a few people. His parents are out of town. You should come with me. It’ll be fun. No drama, I promise.”
I hesitated. “I don’t know…”
“Come on,” she pressed, linking her arm with mine like we were real sisters. “It’ll be good for us. We haven’t hung out in forever. I’ll even introduce you to some of my friends properly.”
Against my better judgment, I agreed. The hope that she might finally be softening won over my fear.
The night of the gathering, I dressed carefully in a modest but cute outfit that showed my curves without being too revealing. Mia seemed excited as we left the house, chatting about nothing important. When we arrived at Jake’s big house, the party was smaller than the beach one maybe twenty people. Music played, drinks were passed around.
Mia stayed close to me at first, introducing me to people I didn’t know. She even got me a drink something fruity and strong. “Loosen up, sis,” she whispered with a smile.
I drank. The night went smoothly for a while. I talked with a few girls, danced a little. Mia disappeared for some time, but I didn’t think much of it.
Then the drink hit me harder than expected. My head felt fuzzy. My limbs heavy. Something was wrong. The room spun too fast.
I stumbled toward the bathroom, but strong hands caught me in the hallway. A guy I vaguely recognized one of Mia’s friends’ older brother smiled down at me.
“You okay, pretty girl?” he slurred, his grip tight on my waist. “You look like you need to lie down.”
I tried to push him away, but my body wouldn’t cooperate. “No… I need…”
He started guiding me toward one of the bedrooms. Panic rose in my throat, but my voice came out weak. The world was tilting badly.
Suddenly, the door at the end of the hallway opened. Lucian stepped out, his eyes widening when he saw me.
“Lily!”
He rushed forward, shoving the guy away from me. “What the hell are you doing?” he growled.
The guy laughed drunkenly. “Just helping her. Mia said she was looking for some fun.”
Mia.
The name hit me like ice water before everything went completely black.
The world came back to me in fragments warm hands holding me, a familiar scent, soft voices. I was lying on a bed in one of the upstairs rooms. Lucian was sitting beside me, his face tight with worry as he brushed hair from my forehead.
“Lily? Hey, stay with me. That bastard tried to take you somewhere. I got you out. Mia… I think she did something to your drink.”
Everything felt hot. My skin burned. My body ached with a deep, throbbing need I couldn’t control. The drug Mia had slipped me made every nerve ending feel alive and desperate. I shifted on the bed, a soft whimper escaping my lips.
“Lucian…” I whispered, reaching for him. My fingers clutched his shirt. “I feel so hot… please…”
He froze, eyes darkening with concern and desire. “Lily, you’re not in your right mind. I don’t want to take advantage”
“Please touch me,” I begged, my voice breathy and needy. The heat between my thighs was unbearable. “I need you. I’ve wanted you for so long. Just… make it stop burning. Love me tonight.”
Lucian exhaled shakily, his hand trembling as he cupped my cheek. “God, Lily. I want you so much. But only if you’re sure.”
“I’m sure,” I moaned softly, pulling him down to me. “Touch me. Please.”
He kissed me then slow, loving, and deep. His tongue slid against mine as his hands roamed my body with reverence. He peeled my dress off gently, kissing every inch of skin he revealed. When he reached my heavy breasts, he groaned, cupping them and sucking on my n*****s until I arched off the bed with a cry.
“You’re so beautiful,” he whispered against my skin. “So soft and perfect. I’ve dreamed about this.”
His hand slid between my thick thighs, finding me wet and ready. He touched me lovingly, fingers circling my most sensitive spot until I was trembling and begging for more.
When he finally entered me, it was slow and careful filling me completely. We moved together in a loving rhythm, his eyes locked on mine the entire time. He whispered sweet, filthy things in my ear: how much he craved my curves, how perfect I felt around him, how he was falling for me.
I came first, crying out his name as waves of pleasure crashed over me. He followed soon after, holding me tight as he finished deep inside.
Afterward, he held me close, stroking my back as the drug’s effects slowly faded. “I’ve got you,” he murmured. “I’m not letting Mia or anyone hurt you again.”
I fell asleep in his arms, feeling safe for the first time in forever.
But in the back of my mind, even through the haze, I knew Mia’s anger would be worse than ever when she found out what happened.
