"Why did you just stay quiet when Lucas hurt you?" Tierra asked angrily when she helped Jocelyn treat her injured head.
Jocelyn thought she must have bruised her head from hitting the table's edge, but she was wrong. Not only was she bruised, but her head was bleeding.
Jocelyn turned her head and looked at Tierra in surprise when she heard the way she called Lucas. She snorted briefly then shook her head slowly, “I don't have the strength like you to fight him. Even I don't dare to hit him on the head and knock him out.”
“I swear I will smack him on his head with pleasure if you call me,” Tierra said. In addition to cleaning up the remaining blood on Jocelyn's head, she also gave bruised ointment on her arms and palms.
