3. Kaelyn - Heart Ripper

So much has happened so quickly it made Kaelyn's head spin. Darius was cold one minute then gentle and caring the next. He went upstairs to bed leaving Kaelyn with a beautiful little woman called Hannah. They talked about the time Hannah first met Darius. She was a guest in the kingdom. She told Kaelyn how small he was when he was a boy, how sweet he was. Until he turned cold hearted.

" You know Kaelyn, I reckon there is still a sweet side to him. He showed so today by bringing you here into my care. There is a little twinkle in his eye when he looks at you." Hannah whispered, winking at Kaelyn.

There is just no way. Yes he has been kind to me but as he said, he is only kind to me because he wants to know who I am and who I work for. I don't want to get my hopes up to have them come crashing down on top of me. I wish I could get a man like him. He is the man every woman dreams of.

Kaelyn shook her head in disbelief. Hannah sighed but let it go.

" Come on, darling. Let's get you settled into your new room. " Hannah led her up the marbled staircase onto the second floor.

She was lead down one of the hallways. Hannah pointed to one of the doors.

"This will be your room. Do with it as you please but I ask that you treat it with respect"

Kaelyn nodded.

"Darius's room is next to yours," she jerked her head towards the room on right. " The mirrors have been removed in both your rooms for precaution. " She reassured Kaelyn.

Hannah waved at Kaelyn and disappeared back down the staircase. Kaelyn stood unsure of what to do.

She opened the door to her room and peered around. There was a bed against the back wall, it had beautiful gold headboard. The bed frame was tall, hung from the upper frame were red drapes. It was beautiful. There would have been a mirror at the top of the bed if not for Hannah removing it.

She felt... Vulnerable.

She walked across the marble flooring and the furry white rug to the bathroom door. She turned on the light and went to the sink. She picked up a packet with a brand new pink toothbrush in it and the toothpaste. She squeezed the tube and the toothpaste slithered out.

She placed the paste onto the brush and brushed her teeth thoroughly for two minutes. After running her tongue across her teeth feeling satisfied, she turned off the bathroom light and made her way out of the bedroom.

She waltzed to the room Darius slept in.

Should I go in...? God, what would I find? Would I like what I find? Definitely.

She starting pacing weighing in the options. She doesn't want to go back to her room, she doesn't want to be alone. She has made up her mind.

She opened the door tensing for a loud creek finding non. She popped her head into the room finding Darius in his bed asleep. She sneaked over to him trying to be stealthy on the hardwood flooring. He stirred making her freeze on the spot.

Kaelyn crossed over to the other side of the bed and climbed in. The sheets where cool which was surprisingly pleasant to Kaelyn. She took in the scent of the sheets. The scent of Darius made her mouth water. He smelled better than the scent of any flower in a desert. Exotic.

She pulled the sheets back revealing his muscular physique. She wanted to explore him. Lick him. Kiss every individual muscle slowly.

Never had she had lustful thoughts like she did now. All the years of supressing the urge for a man to satisfy her went out of the window.

Her eyes fell on his neck. She imagined herself licking it and kissing it... Piercing it.

Her faced flushed bright red with embarrassment. She looked away afraid to see the anger in his eyes, the disgust. He placed his palms on either side of her face and moved her head to look at him. " I have found you." He snarled.

He hurdled towards her tearing the counter off the wall and throwing it at her. She somehow managed to duck as it struck through the wall landing in their car.

All of a sudden the vice like grip disappeared making her drop to the floor. Kaelyn looked up to see Hannah standing with blood covering her white dress.

" Do you know how much this costs! A f*****g lot. Now look at it!" She whined.

She stamped on the beast's leg snapping it in two. The beast roared with fury.

"How dare you keep me from what's mine!' he hissed.

No, I am so not yours you are ugly as f**k!

"She is not yours. I have seen what is to come and you are well dead before then. Thanks for the game demon, it was fun. " With that Hanna sliced open his chest and plucked his heart out. She held it in her hand watching it beat. The demon stared at it his heart in horror. He started to fight back but couldn't move through the pain. Hannah crushed it in her hand with a huge satisfying grin.

" I love it when they are helpless. " She chuckled and turned to Kaelyn.

She is scary, but she saved my life so I owe her one.

" We need to take care of a- your Aunt." She helped Kaelyn up easily. As small as she is she was amazingly strong.

They went back to the house to find her Aunt still unconscious.

" We need to take her to a hospital- " she was cut off.

" No. She needs rest and blood."

"Yes, they can do a blood transfusions." Kaelyn stated.

"Fine one second." Hannah unfurled her wings and took off.

Approximately 1 minute later she was back with a bag of blood and an IV drip. She picked Aunt Melissa up and carried her to her bedroom and slammed the door shut. Kaelyn tried to enter finding the door locked.

Kaelyn sighed defeated and went back down the stairs. She went outside to find no body, no ounce of blood.

How can it just disappear? I don't even want to make sense of it anymore. Nothing right now makes sense.

She looked at the counter sticking out of the car.

This is the stuff of nightmares. Next thing I know Freddy Krueger will try to kill me next. How did Hannah get here so fast?

She shook her head dismissing the thought. She went to what's left the front room. Bending to her knees she picks up a picture of her when she was a little girl. She wasn't smiling, her face was distraught. Her aunt Melissa was smiling but it could never reach her eyes. She put the picture down and her gaze settled on an open box which looked like pictures were in them.

Kaelyn started to go through them seeing people in elegant dresses on what looked like a ball room. In one of the pictures Aunt Melissa was beaming looking stunning. It was in black and white. One of those old fashioned photos. Standing next to her was no one other than...

The king.

Kaelyn's airways started to restrict.

No way does my Aunt know that monster.

She couldn't comprehend what was going on. Her mind wouldn't allow her to make sense of this.

She looked at the picture again. There was a beautiful woman by the king's side. She was smiling staring into the king's eyes. In the women's arms was a little baby wrapped up in a blanket. They looked content.

Kaelyn got up and walked out onto the patio, filling her lungs with fresh air. Hannah was upstairs dealing with Aunt Melissa. She walked to the edge of the patio taking in the scenery of the back garden. The sky was blue with a few fluffy white clouds dotting the sky.

Kaelyn sighed.

What if my Aunt doesn't make it? What would I do?

Tears fell down her cheeks at the thought of loosing the only person she had left in the world. The only person who was family. Her hands fisted into balls at the sheer anger she felt.

How dare they!! This is my home! MINE! How dare they have the audacity to do this.

A spot of blue light appeared in front of her floating on mid air. It mesmerized her but alarmed her in the same instant. It started to grow larger...

Wider...

It looked like a swirling pool of blue. Kaelyn stepped back a little unsure...

Kaelyn was fascinated. She reached for it extending her arm out and touched it. The mass rippled and shimmered. All of a sudden...

Arms ripped through the mass grabbing her.

She screamed, thrashing about trying to escape but they pulled her in with them. The last thing she saw was Hannah, smiling gravely and Darius appearing behind her. She didn't move she just stood there...

"NO!!" He roared lunging for her.

Words echoed in her mind.
