~Lyric~
I quickly go to my room with the plan to change my clothes. I hope that was enough to calm things a bit. I let too much out when talking to Jayla, and I’m sure it would only be a matter of time before she spoke on what I said. I figure if I told the business myself, I could better control the narrative.
I skip the shower since it would be best to take one later. I grab a bag and put a change of clothes in it. I place my phone in the bag along with a pair of shoes. It’s time for me to go about my new, almost nightly, ritual.
I head outside, thankful that I didn’t run into anyone on my way. I walk into the woods, making sure no one is around me. I shift into my wolf form and make my way to my mate’s home.
