New friends

    I fought her for control and finally gained it after a couple minutes, we are in the booth with the people who Dawn protected. Two men and three girls, looking at them they seemed to be confused. "what?" I didn't bother to hide my confusion, "Uh, nothing! I'm Emily, but you can call me Em" the girl across from me said enthusiastically. She is the girl that has golden brown hair and honey colored eyes with freckles, "oh ok!" I like her she has a fun but feisty attitude. The boy next to her laughed and put his arm around her, i'm guessing it's her mate. 

    A warm smile spread across my face when I saw the look he gave her sending her into a frenzy with nervous laughter and stumbling over words. 'Yup definitely her mate' Dawn spoke up, "wait where is Elijah?" I felt a sudden wave of emptiness while trying to mind link him. 'Why do they look like that?' Dawn asked a little scared, their faces went back and forth between serious and worried. "Alex he went back to your pack to get your brother, he said to tell you not to worry about them and that he will be back later" Em said with a soft look on her face. "I.., ok".

    For the rest of lunch we talked and learned more about each other, well I learned about them and the pack. I decided not to tell them about my passed, and just tell them about Eli. I learned their names, Zander is Em's mate and also the Bata, he is 6'5 and has black hair, green-ish eyes, and a cross tattoo on his collarbone, he's kind to us. The boy next to him is Noah, he is 6'3, has brown curly hair and has been quiet most of the time. Then there is Jennifer, she's sitting next to me, she has dark brown wavy hair, blue-ish green eyes, a small birthmark around the end of her left eyebrow, she is Noah's mate, and has a weird sense of humor. Personally I think shes amazing but the others pick on her for the things she says, I don't really know what her height could be she seems about the same as me. The one next to her is Constance, she has long raven black hair, ocean blue eyes, just like Elijah, she also has a sisterly kind of personality, she somehow made my day better with a silly comment about me. All six of us ditched the rest of the day since there were only two classes left.

    "Hey Constance, are you Elijah's sister?" she gave me a funny smirk, "What gave it away, the eyes?" she nudged me and laughed a little. "No, actually it was the way you act around me" I looked at her. "How so." she leaned her head on her hand, " your not afraid to say what you want, and you're very honest might I add" I laughed remembering her comment earlier. "Oh, yeah sorry if that was rude" she apologized sounding a little nervous, "it's alright, honestly I think your comment was 100% necessary" I looked down at my shirt "I really shouldn't make it so obvious" that made her laugh turn into a full on fit of laughter. 

    Jen, Constance, Emily and I went into the bathroom for a bit to talk about the pack and the rules and normal behaviors of the pack, along with the female roles in the pack, "That's pretty much it" Emily finished. "lets go ba-" I started to say when Elijah's voice rang through my head, 'Hey love, you and the other girls go outside the boys will bring you all to me. I'm at the park a couple blocks away.' well that was weird 'Alright, why are you at the park?' I stood up 'Because Eli wanted to play here, he said he's always wanted to play at the park but there hasn't been time' oh yeah I know that park!. "Girls we gotta go, Elijah's waiting at the park for us with my little brother!" I opened the door for then and they walked out with me following behind. They headed for the door where Noah and Zander were were messing around.

    I ran passed the girls and through the door. "Last one to the park tells Elijah about the fight at lunch" Dawn yelled while running in the direction of the park. A loud evil laugh erupted out of Zander as we  fought for first place, Constance and Jen were close behind near the park. Constance and I are in first and second place with Noah in third. Once we all reach the park laughing and arguing about who came in last, I ran to Eli while the others talked to Elijah. "Hey buddy how are you?" I hugged him tightly and he hugged me twice as hard, "I'm good, Elijah's funny" His little giggle came out of nowhere. 

    Picking him up I whispered quietly, "Wanna go up?" He gave me an evil smirk and nodded. We both looked at the others curious of what they were doing only to find them watching us. "Hurry. Up! Up! Up!" He laughed loudly while Elijah was walking towards us with a curious eye, with a grin and a wink I let out my wings and in the matter of three seconds we were above the clouds. His loud laughter filled my ears, "I missed this" I leaned my forehead on his and enjoyed the happiness in the air. 

    "Look behind you!" Eli suddenly yelled alarming me of my mate sneaking up on us. I did a mid-air tuck and roll and watched him fly over us and through the clouds. Eli erupted in laughter as we rushed back down to the park where the others were waiting. I did a full circle around the park and sat Eli down on the slide. I landed next to Constance while I watched Elijah swoop down through the clouds towards us "Hey that wasn't very nice'' that's the whole point "Ok, neither was sneaking up on me" meanie. Why'd it just get so quiet? Are they- oh ok well this is awkward The look on their faces are amazing not gonna lie, "when did you two get wings?!" Constance looks really confused, 'No s**t'  rude much, I don't blame her I felt the same way. Should I say something 'yes, it's getting really awkward '  ok well what should I say, 'Let me'  Dawn don't be stupid.  After all of the explaining and leaving out a ton of details, more like explaining from the attack to the beginning of school, we all headed to the Elijah's pack house for dinner.
