Chapter Two - Hookah

Big puffs of smoke formed a cloud in the air as he took in long, deep shallow drags from the shisha pipe in his hands. The soothing mint flavor relaxed his tensed muscles as he inhaled and exhaled it. He felt the smoke go through the hose and settle in his lungs. Once again, he took a long sharp draw from the hose, a seemingly endless mushroom cloud of thick white smoke bellowed out of him, giving him the heavenly bliss he desired. He passed the pipe to the next person beside him and watched the girl exhale and cough out, almost immediately after she'd sucked in from the pipe, but that didn't stop her. She flashed a shade of her nicely arranged set of teeth at him, before smoking in more shisha. From one glance, Logan could tell that she was a novice. He returned her smile back and closed his eyes, awaiting his turn again. Music played in the background, laughter and conversation filled the air, entwined with the sweet smells of the smoke being exhaled among their small circle of smokers. He had been smoking for years, so this wasn't new to him. But no matter how many years he had been in this, he could never get tired of it. Smoking was a way of releasing him of his stress, freeing him of the day's trouble. It was a part of him, though he did mind the way he smoked. He knew he could get lungs cancer and a bunch of other ailments from doing it constantly, so he learned how to control himself, only indulging in the act, occasionally. A slight nudge on his sides made his eyes flutter open. A man held out the pipe to him with a grin. "Your turn man." Logan laughed and took it from him. He placed his own mouth tip on it before filling his insides with the smoke. As he kept on inhaling, his eyes caught two girls walk into the hookah room. Both blonde. The first looked like she was ready to party and get high, but the other looked like she wanted to shoot everyone present there, right in the face. She had on a menacing look, and brought her purse to her nose, probably trying to avoid the smokes from invading her. The moment he released his breaths, wisps of silver grey smoke curled and danced their way through the thick, hazy air. Her eyes locked with his at this action. She didn't stop staring at him, it's like she was amazed by the particular act he had just performed and wanted to give it a try too. Logan raised the pipe up at her, his eyes silently asking and telling her to come join him. His lips pressed in a pleasant smile, so as not to scare her away. Instead of accepting his offer and coming over, she threw at him, the most disgusted look he had ever seen. She looked away from him finally, and whispered something into the other blonde's ears. The lively looking girl pouted at her words, but in a matter of seconds, they both walked out from the room. Logan was surprised by this. No woman, old and young, had never looked at him with such disgust. They were always trying to get their way with him and please him, so in return, he f****d them like they wanted. Suddenly, the sweet scented flavours from the shisha was doing nothing to soothe him. He passed the pipe to the novice girl from before, and stood up straight. He turned to leave, but then, he felt a warm hand clamp around his wrist. He frowned at this and gave the girl a questioning stare. "Are you leaving?" she asked. "Yeah, do you need anything?" he flashed at her, a friendly smile. The top of her lips curved in a seductive way. Without taking a smoke, she passed the pipe to the next person, and imitating Logan's act, she stood on her feet. He could see how short she was, not that she was extremely short, he was just too tall. His height was a turn on for most ladies, and he had no doubt that the young lady standing before him was getting turned on already. She trailed her finger up the tattoos drawn on his right arm and gently stood on her tippy toes. Though she still wasn't even up to his shoulders, she placed her hand behind his head and pushed it down to her face level. "Do you want to go somewhere less crowded with me?" she whispered into his ear, giving it a little tug with her teeth. At any other time, Logan would have accepted her offer, in fact, he would have laid her down on the shisha table right there and then, and f****d her hard if she asked. But for some odd reason, he couldn't wipe the strange look a proud looking blondie had given him. The lady offering him to take her somewhere quiet now, wasn't bad looking at all. Brown cropped hair ending below her neck, smoky make up, a blood red gown with an extremely high slit, she was hot. But, she wasn't exactly his taste, not that he wouldn't f**k her though. She just seemed like the type to ask and want more after the first night, and he did not need a clingy girl in his life right now. "As much as I'd love to go with you, I have to leave now, but if you frequent this bar more, maybe we could meet again? I'm a regular here, so maybe we could run into each other some other time and find that less crowded place." She was about to protest when Logan winked at her and gave her his signature smile, which she reacted to with wide dreamy eyes. "Okay," she nodded her head continuously. "-- fine. I will do everything to make sure we meet again, but just know one thing," her hands began their movement again and gripped tightly on the waist band of his jean, he gave a satisfied smirk. "--the next time I see you, you're gonna pay for setting my ovaries on fire." Logan chuckled softly, letting his hands move down along her back in a straight line and reach the tearing of her dress. Slowly, he upped his hands higher and higher till he could feel her wetness in his palm. She gasped in complete shock and held onto him with more strength this time. "I can't wait." And then, his hands eased their way out in the same slow motion. He walked out, leaving the poor girl way too horny and wet. The cold night air slapped against his skin the moment he stepped out of X hale. The air was absolutely clean and fresh from smoke and he inhaled it deeply as he stared at the star filled sky. The music from inside the club echoed and flowed along with the air. Vibrating and resounding. There were other people around him, mostly couples making out inside their cars or outside. His thoughts went back to the woman waiting for him back in the club, wet and willing to screw him. Maybe he shouldn't have left her and taken on her offer. Finally ready to leave for his apartment, he noticed the woman from earlier before, standing just a few distance away from him, but close enough that he could outline her figure. The blonde proud looking princess. But she was alone, her friend wasn't with her. She leaned against her car - a flashy red convertible. That sorted it out for Logan, he knew she smelled like money, and not just new found money, but money that she'd had all her life, right from the day she was conceived. He wondered if she was okay or if she just normally had that expression on for everybody. She still wore the bored and rude look. From time to time, she would stare at her phone, and back then, to the entrance of the door, like she was waiting for someone. When she looked up from her phone again, her eyes caught his for the second time that night. She frowned and looked away, but in less than a minute, she had her eyes back on his. "What the hell is wrong with everyone and the staring tonight?!" Logan was startled by her outburst. A few eyes turned in their direction, they didn't stray too long and in a flash, they had returned their attention back to their partners. Emily had been standing and waiting in the cold for her friend to come out of the club so they could drive home. It had been a tiring day and all she honestly wanted to do was go home and have a good rest before work tomorrow. According to Drew, she just wanted to say goodbye to their classmates, because leaving without saying a word, would seem rude. Who cared? She sent another text to Drew, and stared again at the entrance of the club, expecting the girl to come out soon any minute. Looking up from her phone, she recognized the man staring at her. The sky was covered in a blanket of extreme darkness, and she still couldn't make out his face, but the black stains on his hands and neck sold him out. Now, she could see how tall and lean he was. He was blessed by a perfect body statue but she could bet that his face was nothing to write home about. Someone who smoked like that and tainted his body with tattoos was in no way a presentable man. Heck, she would choose Christian any day, any time, over someone like that. But the man was way too good, and she was getting tired of his good, making all other good men seem boring to her. After she had created a small backlash at him, the hookah dude as she had agreed to name him, looked away almost immediately, turned to his left and calmly walked off. The quiet wind went after him, playing with his hair and leaving it tousled.  The sight looked like one from a painting - a painting that would be stuck in her memory for a long time. As she watched him disappear into the darkness, she felt a tap on her shoulder. "Hey girl, let's go!" "Drew, where the hell were you?" She frowned, opening the front door and getting into the car. "I was saying goodbye to the crew, but then, Jameson said he had a little surprise for me, so I followed him." Drew said, excitement laced the edges of her voice. The problems of the night, along with the image of hookah dude slowly faded along with the darkness, and a large grin spread out on Emily's face. "Don't tell me you guys did it in less than thirty minutes?!" A playful slap landed on her right arm which was controlling the steering wheel. "Nooo! We just had a little make out session, and he gave me his number. We're meeting again, tomorrow." Drew sighed dreamily. "Do you just want to smash with that guy or you've grown magical feelings for him in the five minutes we sat there?" "Who knows? Maybe I have." Drew winked and the two women giggled. "By the way, Christian called while I was inside. He asked where you were, cause he's been calling you and you've been ignoring his calls. When I told him we were at a club, he went on and on, lecturing me about how I shouldn't be letting his future wife go out so late at night, and especially to clubs. You've gotten yourself a really nice catch my dear friend." Drew said sarcastically. "That man drives me crazy," Emily scoffed, swerving the wheels as she turned onto the left lane. "---at first I was cool with the whole good guy thing, and didn't even argue much when my dad talked about getting us married, but now, it's driving me freaking nuts. Can you imagine? While I was in South Africa, I got a huge bouquet of flowers, different types, every day delivered to my penthouse. One, every morning before I left for work, and one, every night before I went to bed." "Well, that's sick." Drew mumbled. "Yeah. I think I need an entirely new and different kind of man in my life. Someone a bit more free, dangerous, wild. Someone who isn't entirely vanilla!" Drew exploded in laughter at this and Emily chuckled. "Don't worry, maybe you'll get your prayers answered soon. Who knows? Maybe you've even met him today at the club." The image of the tattooed guy suddenly decided to flash through her mind at that moment. Another frown masked her face, this time, not one of disgust, but of confusion. She did say she wanted someone a bit bad, but she didn't want a guy like that dude. He reeked of danger, and besides, he looked way below her league. Deep down, she thanked God that she wasn't ever going to see him again, but then wasn't that the most cliched thing girls in movies and books wished for when they met a guy they had odd feelings for? A big part of her told her she was definitely going to cross paths with that guy again, maybe tomorrow, or next year, or in the next decade, but God, she hoped it wouldn't be tomorrow.
