Chapter 9 Katie My chest tightened with fear as the sky grew darker. My body hurt like it had never hurt before. We’d run for what felt like miles, and we were still within the darkened streets of the never-ending city. We stopped at a road and I bent over, pushing my hands into my thighs as my legs wobbled.
