Teeth ripped into my flesh, but soon enough the vampires began to choke, and cough, and spit out the blood they’d sucked into their mouths.
Not only was my scent off-putting to them, but from what I’d gathered from the few vamps I’d talked to over the years, my blood was practically poisonous to them.
“What the f**k are you?” One male vampire growled as he spat my blood onto the pavement beneath his feet.
I staggered sideways, getting a wall behind my back. “You don’t want to know.”
I held tight to the hilts of both knives.
The vampires narrowed their eyes at me, sizing me up.
I darted forward, slashing at the vampire who’d taken a chunk out of my arm. He ducked, then slid sideways.
