Emmey 's pov,

It was almost evening, the sun went down the horizon a long time ago. In the dark sky, the moon looks bright white, she appears as the queen of the Night and the twinkling stars are admiring her beauty. It was indeed a beautiful evening.

Our cab stopped at the entrance of the venue where the knight company organised their celebration party. The main gate of the venue was decorated with colourful flowers and

lights.

" I think the party has already been started. Hurry up." Milly pulled my hand in excitement and ran toward the hall. She was so excited that she completely forgot that she was wearing high heels.

" Milly, slow down. I can 't walk faster in this dress" my dress was too long that it almost touching the ground. As she pulled me I stepped on my dress and was about to fall, suddenly I felt a strong arm held me from behind.

my eyes grew bigger when I saw a handsome man, wearing a blue suit held me tightly by my waist. It was Zoe who saved me from falling on the ground. He was looking really attractive in the suit, especially in his new hairstyle. His hair was pulled back with a good amount of gels, it gave him a very elegant look.

"If you look at me like that for long, then your eyes will definitely pop out of from the socket." he winked at me and made me stand on the ground. I hit his chest hard making a face to him.

For the whole time, Milly was watching us carefully.

"aahhhmmmm. Hi, I am Milly. You must be Zoe, Emmey 's teammate." Milly stretched her hand towards Zoe.

"it 's nice to meet a beautiful lady like you. " Zoe took her hand and kissed on it gently.

"If you guys are done for now then shall we go inside and enjoy the party? " I interrupted their conversation as it was already late.

At the entrance, we had to show our invitation card to the guards. But Milly found out that she left the card at the apartment and it was too late to go back to the apartment for it and come back immediately to join the party. We showed our identity card and told them that we were the employee of Knight company. We requested them to let us in, but they told us that they were strictly instructed to allow the guests with the appropriate invitation card for the security reasons. It was like all our effort went in vain.

" You guys carry on. I am going back to the apartment. " Milly said to me with a sad face, all her excitement were just gone within a minute. She turned and started walking towards the main road.

" Wait, Milly, I am coming with you." I decided to go with her.

"No, you should go to the party, I will take a cab from here. you don't need to miss this happening party for me and..."

" Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. It seems like you guys are in trouble. May I help you?" Milly had to stop to find out the source of the voice. Then we saw a gentleman walking towards us from the parking area.

Zoe took the chance and told him "Hello, sir. She is my friend Milly. We work for the knight company. She forgot to bring her invitation card and without it, guards are not allowing her to enter the party. Can you do something to let her in?"

" Milly, would you like to come with me to the party?" the gentleman looked into her eyes and extended his left hand up to Milly. Without saying anything she took the hand and went towards the hall. The man showed a card to the guards and they went inside the hall. Zoe and I were standing there all surprised.

"Emmey, would you like to come with me to the party?" Zoe imitated the man and extended his left hand up to me just like he did. I busted into a laugher seeing his experience. I took his hand and went inside the hall.

It was a huge hall with a lawn at the backside. It was beautifully decorated with statues and paintings. Colourful lamps were hanging from the ceiling. The fountain in the middle of the hall was the most eye-catching among all the decoration.

We found Milly, standing near the Fountain with the gentleman. We thanked him for helping us and introduced ourselves.

" Hello, I am William, legal adviser of knight company. It 's nice to me you. I have to make a few calls, so please excuse me and enjoy the party." he went outside the hall while talking over the phone.

" What happened to you? Are you all right? " I asked Milly as I saw her cheeks were flushed.

"Did he kiss you? or asked to marry him? " Zoe asked her and started laughing.

" Shut up guys. grow up. " she made his face to Zoe.

Suddenly we saw a crowd at the entrance. A man came inside the hall. Everybody was congratulating him but he had no emotion on his face. His blue eyes were dark and deep as before. Yes, he is the owner of the knight company, Mr Jack k knight. After some time he raised a toast and announced that as they cracked the deal, they were going to open a new branch at new york city. They also decided to promote some of their employees in this month according to their performances. Hearing the news everyone started clapping with joy.

We went to the bar counter for a drink. " look at the shelf. you see the bottle at the corner of the second shelf it is the best quality tequila in the world. " Zoe said pointing his finger to the bottle.

" Today we must celebrate our friendship. shots, please!" Milly asked the bartender for three tequila shots.

" Keep me out of it. I am not habituated to drinking." I tried to avoid it as I knew that it was not a good idea to get drunk in an office party.

" Don 't worry Emmey. At least you can take one shot with us. " Zoe forcefully made me sit on the chair.

But unfortunately, we stopped after consuming seven to eight shots. The atmosphere of the hall had been changed as the musicians started playing some romantic music. Everybody started dancing on the rhythm of the song. William came to ask Milly for dance and they went to the centre of the hall.

After taking the shots I was not feeling well. As I started sweating, I tied up my hair with a hairband. I felt uncomfortable in the tight-fitting dress.

" Emmey, let 's go to the dance floor. " Zoe said to me holding my hands.

" You go. I am not feeling well. I need some fresh air." listening to me he stood up and said " ok. let's go to the lawn. You will fill better there. "

"No. No. You enjoy the party. I want to be alone for some time. Don't worry I will be fine. " He looked at me with concerned eyes and then left my hands.

I left the hall and went to the lawn, sat on a wooden bench and I looked up at the sky. The night was so beautiful. Cold breeze and moonlight felt good on my skin. Sound of breeze and the leaves was soothing to my ears. After a while, my uneasiness was completely gone. I closed my eyes in comfort. Suddenly I felt a soft touch on my shoulder.

" You are beautiful " a husky voice whispered into my ear. I could smell a strong fragrance that gave me a sensual feeling. I felt a hand moving on my back aimlessly, giving me a burning sensation all over my skin. I instantly opened my eyes as I felt a pair of wet lips on my neck. But I couldn 't find anyone there.

' oh. It 's must be the alcohol. God. It's already 10 o ' clock in the night. I should go back home .' I thought in my mind and decided to go to the washroom. I threw some cold water on my face and neck to remove the drowsiness.

As I came out of the washroom someone pushed me against the wall and started licking my cheek and neck. I couldn 't see the face because I was attacked from the back. I struggled to free myself from the monster but I was too weak to give it a tough fight. As I was about to shout he pressed his right hand on my mouth and said "You are so tempting. You should not be alone in a place like this. And don 't waste energy shouting for help because nobody will come to rescue you. " his voice was like acid that was burning my ears. He pulled the sleeves of my dress and threw the torn piece of cloths on the floor. As he pulled my hair and started kissing my shoulder, I cried out loud in pain. Tears rolled down my cheeks. My body started shaking in fear. I felt dizzy and my vision became blurry. Suddenly I heard a loud growl,

" LEAVE HER ALONE." It sounded like a demon howled in rage.

Hearing the voice he freed me immediately and ran toward the hall. I was in a very bad shape, my feet felt like jelly. I tried to hold a table near me for support but failed. As I was about to fall, I felt someone hold me. I couldn 't open my eyes to see my saviour. I felt two strong hands carried me like a baby and put me on a car seat and tied the seat belt. Then the car started running, cold wind through the window was constantly hitting my skin. I felt a hand touching my neck and shoulder, I hissed in pain as it touched the wounded spots. I heard someone hitting the steering wheel in frustration. The last thing I remember was a deep voice calling me by my name. " Emm. Emm...are you alright. Now you are safe with me. I will kill that bastard. I will protect you from every danger. Emm... Emm..."
