Jane

I didn't want to go to classes today. I don't dare to face people after last night. I feel a little paranoid even though there was no one there last night but yet I feel like if I go today people will judge me. Will talk about me. I lay down on my bed again and covered myself full with my blanket.

The door opened with a creaking sound and I pushed the blanket away to see who is at the door. It is Jas but what happened to her. Her dress is disheveled, her hairs are messy and her lipstick is smudged and she was in the same dress she wore at the party. It doesn't look like she went to any of her friend's houses last night if she did. Her friend surely would have offered her some fresh clothes.

Jas squealed when she saw me laying on my bed.

''What are you doing here?'' Jas exclaimed. Trying to make her appearance presentable. But nothing she could do will help all that disaster.

''Umm Last I checked it is my room too,'' I replied meekly. Not quite sure why.

''Yeah I-- I mean you didn't attend the classes today,'' she asked sheepishly.

''No, didn't want to,'' I told her while trying to figure out what is wrong with her.

''Oh okay, I am going to the bathroom.'' with that she rushed to the bathroom with clothes in her hand. Leaving me alone with my thoughts.

Why is everyone behaving weirdly around me yesterday Nathaniel and today Jas? What is going on? Let's solve Jas's mystery some other time. Right now I want to know why did he threaten that boy and then kiss me and then he left me without a word this turn of the event is totally out of my mind. I tried hard but couldn't come to any conclusion.

But damn the kiss was amazing I can still feel the touch of his lips on mine. His tongue mating with mine. Bullshit how can I forget such a huge detail of his life. His girlfriend. I sat up with a jerk on my bed oh god is that why he left the way he did. He couldn't resist the temptation but after giving in he realized he did wrong.

Oh my god, what did I do how could I let him kiss me, or worst how could I kiss him back. I hate myself for liking him. The door to our room opened again and Jas walked in looking a little better than before but still pale.

''Hey, are you alright?'' I asked her when I saw she was wearing an old T-shirt and sweat pants looks like she decided to bunk classes as well.

''Yeah yeah, I am good.'' she did not at all look good she looks a little jumpy.

There was a knock on the door Jas didn't move from her place only keep staring at it like some ghost is going to attack her just any second. Again some knocking but this time Andrew called ''Babe are you there?'' I was about to call out that yes indeed she was but Jas put her hand on my mouth blocking the words from coming out.

''Please tell him I am not here. Please.'' I looked at her wide-eyed but her face was blanched. She looked extremely horrified at the thought of meeting Andrew. I slowly nodded my head determined to know what is going on with her.

She let me go slowly I got up and opened the door but instead of letting him in, I stepped outside closing the door behind me.

''Hello, Andrew. How are you?'' I asked him smiling a little too sweetly.

''Hi, Jane what are you doing here. Didn't you have classes today? What is wrong with people today why everyone is asking me what I am doing here isn't it obvious it is my room too. I am bound to be here.

''Yeah didn't feel like going.''

''Okay, Where is Jas?'' He asked he looked a little worried.

''Um she is not back yet I guess she will spend the day with her friend.'' I lied straight through my teeth.

''Did she message you or anything,'' he asked.

''No,''

''Did you try calling her or something.'' Now he is going overboard like dude relax she is not a child she will call you soon.

''I just woke up.'' I lied smoothly.

''Oh I am sorry to disturb you but Jas's phone is switched off and I thought she would have informed you or something. I am sorry I will take your leave then,'' he replied a little flustered. Oh, poor boy. I am really not feeling good doing this. Jas had to tell me the reason now for making me hurt this boy.

''Andrew don't worry Jas is fine she will call soon. Okay,'' I tried to console him. Okay, the first thing to do is to have Jas call Andrew. I entered and looked at Jas who is sitting on my bed with her head down. I went to her and sat beside her, wrapping my arms around her.

''That wasn't good Jas. Andrew was really worried for you. You should call him.'' I whispered only to realize that Jas was crying. Her body heaved with her little sobs.

''Oh, god Jas what's wrong babe. What happened?'' I asked only for her to cry a little louder this time so I shut the hell up and consoled her till her sobbing subside and turned into little sniffling. I rubbed her back all along hugging her.

''Will you tell me now what happened?'' she nodded her head.

''But before that plz message Andrew he was worried sick for you last night too.'' she stiffened a bit at the mention of last night. But then again nodded. Picking her phone from my study table she messaged Andrew all the details he need to know. Then put the phone back in charge.

I patiently waited for her to start but she took a break again staring into the space for some time and then took a deep breath and turned to me.

''Last night I and Drew were having a good time. We danced for a long time but after a while, we headed for some drinks I was tipsy by the time we were about to go dancing again.'' She stopped talking and looked at me I nodded at her assuring her whatever it is I am with her.

She continued ''Everything was good till then. So I decided to go to the ladies' room for some touch-ups. First I went to the ground floor one but it was way too crowded then I decided to go to the first floor one. I was finished ascending the stairs suddenly someone grabbed me.''

''What'' I screeched.

''What do you mean someone grabbed you? Who was that bastard?'' I was seething by now. Jas hold my hand

''Calm down and listen to me.'' I nodded reluctantly.

''It was Jake.'' Now that is something to scream about but I didn't not wanting to interrupt her flow this time. I have a feeling this is going to be interesting.

''I didn't know it by that time not until he pulled me into one of the bedrooms.'' she stopped again looking like she is contemplating whether to tell me further or not. Nevertheless, she continued.

''He kissed me I tried to push him back at first but he didn't budge. It was a lot to take in for me. At last, he is my first love so I gave in and kissed him back.'' she dropped her face in her hands with a groan. I can totally understand her it is quite shameful. I gently rubbed her shoulder urging her to continue.

''I tried to escape but he didn't relent at all and we kind of did the deed. I can blame the alcohol for our actions because I was tipsy and he was tipsy but I know full well it wasn't under the intoxication that I gave in but when I woke up in the morning and all my senses came rushing back to me.''

''I was ashamed of myself for giving in to him although I had a boyfriend. I cheated on Andrew although I didn't want to only if that i***t didn't drag me in there. I don't know what to do Jane. I can't face Drew knowing I cheated on him and now I am feeling worse knowing he was worried since last night when I was enjoying myself.''

''You had to tell him Jas,'' I whispered softly. Jas jerked her face up and looked at me terrified. I again hugged her.

''You had to deal with this Jas. If you continue this relationship with him knowing you still have feelings for Jake then that will be the worst kind of infidelity. And it will be unfair to him.'' I tried to make her understand emotional infidelity is the worst kind. You are destroying yourself as well as the person to who you are committed. Without fully investing in the relationship where the other person is solely committed to you.

''I guess you are right. Drew has been nothing but sweet and understanding all this time. And he needs to know the truth from me. But I need time I can't tell him right away and I can't face him either.''

''It's okay Jas take your time and you don't have to face him but do reply to his messages and calls.'' She nodded at that.

''Thank you so much Jane If you wouldn't be here I don't know with whom I would have talked.''

''No problem Jas.'' I smiled at her. I guess it's time for me to take off the load on my shoulders too.

''Jas.'' she hummed.

''I have something to confess as well''
