I blow on my nails after applying the bright red nail polish when suddenly someone knocks on my door. "What is it?" I yell, turning towards the door.
"Aria, it's me!" Jade answers from across the door.
I beam and stand up from my vanity stool, opening the door with my other hand to let Jade inside.
"Hey, babe." I hug her sideways.
She quickly pulls back, gushing with excitement. "I have a hot piece of news for you." She says as I walk back to the stool, and she sits on my bed.
"What is it?" I ask.
"I asked around a little and got to know that Jane hasn't been coming to the college for a week." She says, elated.
"Did the girls you know tell you?" I ask, applying nail paint to my other hand. She nods, and my lips tilt upwards.
