When I woke up again, my body still felt heavy. I shifted slightly with a soft groan. I felt a hand brush over my head.
"Shhhh Kifa. It's okay." Xavier's voice in my ear made me open my eyes. He smiled softly at that. "You're awake this time. How do you feel?" I furrowed my brow at his comment. "You were tossing and turning. Like you were having a nightmare." I don't remember what I dreamed about. I shut my eyes again.
"Can I have some water?" My voice sounded rougher than I thought it might. I felt him shift and pull away from me.
