I'd never felt as happy as I was these past few weeks. Everything seemed right. Èmeric and his pack made me feel so at home. They were the best, and I never wanted to leave, not until I was strong enough to return to my pack.
For the past two days, I haven't seen Èmeric. He was busy with some pack stuff, and it was taking all his time. Plank and Madeline — the only maid who was close to me, were the ones who kept me busy. Most times, I went over to the hidden garden in the forest to spend my day. Though it was boring staying there alone, it felt like he was with me.
