I was busy throughout the night, getting everything done. I didn't want to leave anything undone, to avoid getting a visit from other wild animals. That was why I did everything I could to complete the task and bury the dead. I made a prayer to the moon goddess as I closed their graves.
With everything that happened, I was glad Rensa wasn't around. I know this was a selfish thought, but I couldn't help myself. Had she been there, she might have been among the deceased. I was grateful she wasn't with us. This way, I wouldn't lose someone precious to me.
