The days have been slipping by, and honestly, it hasn’t been so bad. The pack nurse comes by regularly to check on me, and I’m pretty much healed now. Still, she insists I need a bit more rest and monitoring, so here I am—still stuck in the royal pack house. Not that I’m complaining.
Staying here has been more beautiful than I expected. Alpha Japhet treats me like some kind of princess, which is something I’ve never been before, not even close. And every time I see him, he seems... I don’t know—more attractive somehow. Unintentionally so. Or maybe it’s just me. Maybe I’m falling for him, which can’t happen. Definitely can’t happen. Alpha Japhet is just a means to an end, a tool for my revenge. That’s all he is, and I’m going to make use of him.
