Delphine pov My eyes slowly opened as the darkness turned into light, blurring shapes around me. I couldn’t see anything clearly at first—just shadows shifting, like I was underwater. Everything felt hazy, my eyes itchy and heavy. Somewhere close, a rhythmic beeping droned on, and that’s when it hit me—I was in a hospital. I blinked a few more times, and finally, things started to sharpen. The ceiling, the harsh fluorescent lights. It all fell into place. A hospital? How the hell did I end up here?
