The Beginning

2112, January 28th, Plants

The vines had wrapped around Clarissas ankles and pulled her up into the air. Her screams echoed through the greenhouse. “Let me down!” she screamed and wailed. Serenity stood up and went running to the tree as she placed her hands and forehead against the tree. “sh..sh..sh.. It’s okay, calm down what she said didn’t bother me.. Pls calm down and put her down.” She begged the tree and the vines lowered her mostly to the ground and then let go causing her to land on her bottom. “Thank you..” Serenity whispered to the tree. Acheron stood there shocked by what was happening. Serenity turned towards the girl as she shyly spoke “Im sorry she feels very protective of me, I apologize for her behavior.” Clarissa shrieked and grumbled angrily as she stood up. “Y..youre… a FREAK!” she shouted and then ran towards the door of the greenhouse and then out it.

Serenity sat back down as she sighed and Acheron turned and looked at Serenity. “What was that all about?.” he asked curiously as he moved to sit back down beside her. “The tree… well everything in here really. They all are alive.. If that makes sense…” she said moving her hair back behind her ear as she looked down. Zander then spoke up, “They’ve grown quite protective over her through out the years. That girl is lucky the most that happened to her was being flung around in the air and dropped on her bottom.” He stepped out of the dark a bit with his arms folded. “Yes, especially the mother tree, she tends to be extremely protective.” She smiled softly as she looked at the large Cherry Blossom tree. Acherons eyes followed where Serenitys eyes were looking at the Cherry Blossom tree. “so the Cherry Blossom is like the keeper of the greenhouse.” Acheron asked Serenity nodded in response. They sat there in silence before Zander stood up and cleared his throat. “Serenity.” Was all Zander said putting his hands in his pockets. Serenity stood up and nodded, “Today I get to go to my secret place” she said with a smile while holding a finger up to her lips. “You can’t come with me this time though, it might be moving to fast. “she said shyly as she blushed. “so this is where we will say good by for today” she spoke again and gave him a softly smile. They all walked to the door of the greenhouse and then outside of the door and she smiled at Acheron. “Good night Acheron, I’ll see you tomorrow.” Acheron smiled back. “Yes good night Serenity sleep well.” Acheron smiled before turning and disappearing down the hall to where the males rooms were. Serenity turned and began walking down the hall before making to a door. Using Zanders keycard he unlocked the door before they began descneding even farther down then when they did for the cells on the new moon nights. The walls light brightly with blue glowing lights before they made it to an open room which a male and female door. “well I’ll see you in there.” Serenity smiled before she let go of his hand going into the room labeled female.
