The Beginning

2112, January 28th, Greenhouse

“Oh that’s just Zander.” Alex said as he shrugged. “Why would he know where she’s going to be?” Acheron asked curiously. “Zander knows where she is at all times. He’s been here with her since the day she practically came and had been with her since the beginning. He’s the main guard in her guarding unit. Honestly, it doesn’t surprise me that he said she would be in the Greenhouse later.” Max calmly said as Alex nodded in agreement. “. Hence, he’s with her right now?” he asked, looking at them. They looked at him curiously before Max responded. “yes, he is more than likely returning to her right now, and that’s what the food was for. You should go finish eating before your class, and if he says she will be in the Greenhouse later then, she will be.” Then they bother turned and walked out of the room. Acheron watched as they left, contemplating while looking at the door. He then turned and walked back over to Michael sitting down. “what was that about?” he asked. “I was trying to figure out where that girl is,” Acheron responded. Micheal gave him a strange look. “Man im not sure why you seem obsessed with this girl but just be careful.” Acheron nodded in response before they finished their breakfast and made their way to their classroom.

The classes seemed to drag on and before long it was lunch time. Since we had longer times to attend classes during the day our meal times were an hour. We all filed into the cafeteria and I walked up to Max who was standing inside the cafeteria next to Alex. “May I Go eat lunch in the greenhouse?” I asked curiously,y and he turned his head and looked at me. “h. For extra food before he made his way out of the cafeteria, weaving his way through the hall till he reached the doors. He took a deep breath and pushed the door open,n walking into the greenhouse.

Serenity turned her head towards the sound of the door opening. Not being able to She was not the door due to the amount of overgrowth plant life. “Zander… someone came in.” serenity said worriedly. “I know I heard the door opening” he said as he stayed leaned back against the wall behind her hiding in the dark. “c..can you take me somewhere else please… I still can’t move very well.” She said as she moved her head to look at him and he just sat quietly before a figure appeared around the large moss covered tree that she laid next too. The man stood there holding a lunch tray in his hands with a cover over it as he looked at her and she stared back wanting to run away. He took a step closer to her as she squirmed her legs a bit. Van der cleared his throat loudly as he stepped slightly from the shadows with his hands in his pockets. “shes more frightened of you then you could be of her. You’ll have to take it slow.” His voice spoke to him. The man nodded before he sat down on the edge of this bed like leaf and vine pile and placed the tray down. “hello.” He spoke softly to her as she looked at him not saying anything. “my name is Acheron” he paused before continuing; “I thought you might be hungry so I got extra food on my lunch tray and I figured I would share with you.” He said as he softly smiled. She looked at him cautiously before she felt hands on her shoulders and she looked and saw Zander sitting her up. He used his body to help her sit up and hold her up. “shes extremely weak right now she probably can’t even hold up a fork still.” Zander stated to the man who said he was Acheron.

Acheron nodded before he picked up a fork and cut a chicken strip into chunks. “I brought some sauces, is there one you prefer?” he asked as he put a piece onto the fork and waited. She looked at him before speaking. “b..barbeque..” the girl spoke to him. He was caught off guard by her voice. It was mature but almost hypnotic when she spoke and he nodded opening the barbeque and dipping a piece in. He looked at her and brought the piece to her lips slowly she opened her mouth and took a bite he ate some while she ate her bite. Between giving her bites he ate some. Soon the food was about gone and not much had been spoken between them. “Serenity..” the girl spoke quietly, looking at him “..and thank you.” She said before looking away from him. “that’s a pretty name. It’s no problem.” He said with a soft smile. Before his watch went started to beep and he looked at her. “I have to be back in the classroom in ten minutes; will you be here during supper also.” He asked her. She nodded as she spoke “More than likely.” “then ill bring you supper, and ill see you then.” He gave her a smile before standing up with the tray and making his way out the greenhouse and back to the cafeteria.
