Regret

There's a hill in the back of the yard. (which is a big yard.) on the hill there's a tree. was summer time and there was a young boy on the hill next to the tree. On the ground was a basket and a white sheet. I ran up the hill and he was grinning at me. He was always taller than me. I kissed him out of the blue. And then I ran from him. but why was I crying why did I run.

     Man, I must have cried myself to sleep. Been doing that a lot here lately. Wasted my whole break on crying, smoking weed and sleeping. Wonder what time it is. I turned over in my big ass bed and scooted over to the edge. Grabbed my phone off the end table. It was five forty-five. A knock was at my door. The lady that didn’t sound like my grandma said that dinner was done. I was a little disappointed when it wasn’t Travis.

     I got up, went to my dresser, put on pajama pants and a light jacket over my crop tops. I stepped outside my door and held my breath than let it go. Walked down stairs and went to my left to the dining rooms. Roxie was there and so is Travis. Travis didn’t look up from his plate. He must still be mad. I want to apologize but at the same time f**k that s**t I don’t owe him s**t. I forgot that I was staring at Travis. I turned my head to face Roxi and she was looking at me. I was admittedly embarrassed. I'm pretty sure my face got red.

      Neatly, placed on the dinning table is green beans, smashed potatoes, dinner rolls, and my favorite STEAK!!! I had a plate and silverware at my seat. I got half a spoon full of mashed potatoes and put it on my plate and started eating it.

"So Lexi, are you nervous about school tomorrow?” I looked up from my plate to roxie

“No”shoved a roll into my mouth.

“Well thats good.im glad you came and joined us for dinner.” she really getting on my nerves.

“Well didn't have much of a choice did i.” I took a glance over at Travis and he didn't look happy and i was a little hurt by that . but he doesn't know me.

“So what have you been doing up in your room, we never saw u come out of there”

“Do you have to ask so many questions? I'm just trying to eat and then leave.”

“You have to be so rude to your grandma when she's just trying to get to know you?” I was shocked that he even said anything.

“I'm sorry I missed the part where i was talking to you.how about you mind your own business.”

“See that's the thing when u disrespect someone thats deer to me it becomes my business.” I rolled my eyes at him. f*****g dramatic.

“ I don't care if she's deer to you i don't care who she is for you still doesn't make your business.”

“Well then dont have a conversation where other people can hear.” Travis said, raising his eyebrows daring to say something els

“ well you know if you like i can cut off your ears to shut ur ass up. Maybe then you think twice before you speak without an invitation to our conversation.” travis was shocked and stood up staring at me in disbelief.”Boo, gotta staring problem or do I need to fix that too.” 

“Im sorry Roxi but ima have to be excused before I say somethin I regret.” that sparked my curiosity.
