Adrian walked into the coffee shop. He’d grab a drink, say hi to his sister and leave. It’d been nice outside when he gotten home from the store, so he’d decided to walk but now the storm clouds gathered overhead. He had no desire to be stuck at the coffee shop or caught in the downpour.
He got in line. This place was busy, but the line was moving fast. Paige was doing a good job. Not that he’d expected anything else. They’d all been raised to work hard. The guy in front of him stepped aside, coffee in hand and Adrian walked up to the register. She looked so cute behind the counter in her green and brown uniform.
