Adrian was exhausted. He’d spent the last few days working twelve hour shifts to fix computer issues caused by an upgrade. It was resolved now and all he wanted was to shower, eat and sleep.
He stepped into his apartment and stopped. Ellie was bent over the couch folding laundry. His eyes roamed over her ass and his hands itched to touch her. Ever since the fajita night she’d avoided him, spending most of her time hiding in her room. “Hey.” He closed the door behind him.
She jumped. “Oh, you scared me. I didn’t expect you home so early.”
“Well, I am.” He undid his tie. She didn’t need to sound so unhappy about it.
She tossed the rest of the unfolded laundry back into the basket and walked toward her room.
“Where are you going?” He should be relieved that she was avoiding him
