Adrian staggered backward from the force of Marc’s foot to his face.
“Damn it,” yelled Mitch. “Pay attention to the fight.”
Adrian blocked the next punch and backed away from Marc. f**k, that’d hurt but Mitch was right. He tuned out Ellie’s yells and the cheers from the crowd. Calm settled over him as everything disappeared except his opponent.
Marc seemed to feed on the excitement because the guy began to show off. He did a handstand and launched himself into a flip. Then he spun, kicking in the air. Marc was too far away to be of any danger, but it gave Adrian the time and opportunity to study his enemy. There was no doubt the guy had skills but that alone wouldn’t win a fight.
