"Ila, why did you need such a high dosage of pain medication? You already have quite a few in the building," Sam questioned, his tone laced with concern. He was keenly aware when something was amiss, especially when it involved his partner's well-being. "Stop pestering her already, you two have been going on and on about this the whole way," Grace groaned, hitting her head on the glass beside her. Ila glanced at her friend before turning her gaze to the closed window. It was still dark outside, but they had only a few hours until sunrise, and she suspected the police might not wait that long to act. Everyone had packed what they needed and left the house, Sam's security team had called their cleanup crew to take care of the bodies of their assailants, they had left in three loaded vans.
