Chapter 40
~Andrew~ I swear our timing always seems to be off. I was about to truly explore my mate, but I guess that will need to wait. She wants to know about me, and though I knew this would happen, I’m not quite ready for this conversation. I close my eyes and sigh. I feel my hardness soften, which will help with this talk. I need to be moving, and now I’ll be able to get up. I open my eyes and remove Melanie’s hands from around my neck. I notice her expression change from confusion to hurt. I move her entire body so she’s sitting on the couch. I stand up and start to pace. My past is a painful one, but I try not to dwell on it too much. I know there are others who have had it worse than me, and I won’t pretend that isn’t the case. I can’t act like I’ve had the worst life because I survived.
