There was chaos in the dragon world and female dragons were not comfortable with the way the male dragons complained of how they deny them their love and their bodies. The female dragons were stronger and so the male dragons, with their frustration and anger could not do anything about this. This had made them decide not to have anything to do with the female dragons.
These happenings made Chaka, the male dragon who had been in love with Sasa for ages so sad for he had no reason, not even love to deny his male counterparts his support on their new crusade. They had said No More Mating With The Female Dragons. If you are a male dragon and you are seen moving with a female dragon you will be rejected by your male counterparts. Chaka felt so sad on the day of this meeting. He wondered how he would survive without his love Sasa.
On the night of the meeting Chaka had said no word as the leader of the male dragons stood before them all and decided that every male dragon should desist from meeting and mating with any female dragon in their land. Chaka had gone home and met Sasa descending from the sky to the top of his roof. He flew up to meet with her and Sasa called him a coward and a dragon not worthy of her love. She promised to fight him if war was to break out between the male dragons and the female dragons. Chaka tried to calm her down but she flew away.
Sasa returned to her base and wept. "Chaka is a coward!!!" She kept screaming into the night.
Chaka decided to leave the dragon world and go to a world known as the world of men. He said he was not going to remain in a world where love had become scarce and fellow dragons threatening him, even the one he had taken to heart all these years. But before Chaka had made up his mind to leave the dragon world war broke out between the female dragons and the male dragons. This led to battle of fire and blood. Chaka flew from the battlefield, refusing to partake in the bloody battle and also to be away from the sight of Sasa tearing his male counterparts to pieces and looking for him angrily. He continued to wonder why Sasa suddenly grew hateful of him. He never dissolved their relationship. She did and never gave him the change to defend his love for her. This made him fly away from the battlefield and nested on one of the ice lands near the home of the dragon witch. He was there and from there he could hear the noises emanating from the battle field. He used his wings to cover himself and tried to keep his ears from the noises.
At the battlefield, the female dragons were winning and the male dragons were determined to give them a goof challenge. This was a battle that had not happened in centuries. Sasa was fighting and at the same time searching for the whereabout of Chaka; to fight him. She was notified of the route he took by one of the female dragons and he flew away and headed to the Iceland, in search of Chaka. When Chaka heard the wind of her approach he tried to hide but Sasa had taken notice of him and was descending towards him with great speed. Chaka tried to explain but Sasa was fierce. Chaka then decided to defend himself. They fought brutally and Chaka was surprisingly defeating the aggrieved Sasa. Sasa was fighting frustratingly and determined. At the end Chaka laid on the ice, down and defeated but not dead yet. Sasa cried out angrily and decided to fly away, with the belief that Chaka was dead.
Chaka remained on the Iceland unable to move when the dragon witch from her shrine noticed the dying heartbeat of a dragon near her aboard and she decided to know whom that was. On her approaching Chaka where he laid Chaka tried to fly away with the last strength he had gathered but the dragon witch made him understand that she wasn't there to hurt him and Chaka laid still and allowed her to tend to his wounds. Chaka remained there and recovered. The dragon witch decided to hear what he had to say.
Chaka explained everything to him and ended up regretting falling in love with Sasa.
"She is fighting you out of frustration and anger. She loves you still but you must not hate her for her actions. I decided not to involve myself with the war going on between the male and female dragons. We female dragons already have advantage of possessing the strength that supersedes the powers of the male dragons. Why start a fight with someone you already know you are stronger than?. I am old already. I'm three thousand years old yet the female dragons have not paid attention to my words of experience and caution. Now they want to keep fighting the male dragons until we don't have any male dragon left in the dragon world. We were rejected by humans many thousands of years ago and ever since them our ancestors have lived here. They left these lands for us for us to stay in and love each other and protect each other. Now that the dragons are fighting each other I fear the dragon world will fall before hundred years to come but I will be dead by then" said the witch dragon.
"I can't remain here" said Chaka as he wept.
"Why, because the female dragons have made the dragon world a place of war and death?" asked the witch dragon.
"Yes, I have only a heart to love and not to hate. I can't remain in a world where there is so much hatred. I will go to the world of humans and while there I will live among men" he said and sobbed harder.
"You can't go to the world of humans because humans hate us. They sent us packing centuries ago. Do not go there" advised the dragon witch.
"But I'm tied of being a dragon for even the dragon I am has not kept me away from the hatred of my kind. This is pure wickedness of life but like I said I will head to the world of the humans and that's where I need you great witch of the dragons" Chaka's utterance drew the whole attention of the witch dragon as she looked at him carefully.
"Are you serious of what you say?" she asked him and Chaka nodded. The witch dragon then decided to grant him his wish and that was the first time a dragon was turned into a human baby and sent away from the land of the dragons and into the womb of a humble woman in the land of the living.
************
The great war in the land of the dragons had ended and the remaining male dragons who had lost the war were taken captives by the female dragons and Sasa was back to her aboard, thinking of all that she did on that day. She thought mostly of the pains she inflicted on Chaka before killing him and she cried bitterly. On the night of that day she flew to the Iceland hoping that no one had seen her leave but one of the female dragons had seen her and had secretly followed her. When Sasa reached the spot she was supposed to see the body of Chaka she couldn't see him. She looked around but found him not. The voice behind her made her spit fire but that was the dragon witch who had come out of her aboard to speak with Sasa. She had been expecting her; knowing that she would come looking for the body of Chaka, to mourn him. When Sasa saw she was the one she hissed.
"When we fight you remain in your shrine like a coward" Sasa said to her without looking at her.
"Am I? asked the witch dragon before she continued, " Who is more cowardly?; the one who refuses to kill innocent male dragons or the one who comes to mourn the lover she killed out of pride?"
This utterance of the dragon witch drew the attention of Sasa as she looked at her abruptly.
"Have you forgotten your position old witch that you would meddle into my affairs?" asked Sasa as she began to approach the witch.
Just then the dragon that had followed Sasa flew away and Sasa realised that she had been discovered. She flew away at once. The witch dragon shook her head and went back to her shrine.
The next day Sasa was troubled with the ruling of the elders of the female dragons. She had been discovered to be still in love with a dead dragon and had been seen going to mourn him. She had shown weakness and banishment was to be her punishment.
