Chapter 7It had been four days, and Hayden didn’t know what to do. He’d texted Corey once every day but hadn’t gotten any replies. He’d walked past Madame Toussaint on his lunch break to see if he was there—he wasn’t. And he’d gone back to check his mailbox several times a day, but Corey never appeared. Every day, he checked for new job openings, but there wasn’t anything interesting. Staring at the screen of his laptop, he cursed aloud.
