Lacey...
My beautiful mate! I knew what I heard was going to happen to her. I had to figure out what I was going to do.
I could feel her sadness and pain.
My beautiful Lacey...
No will have you but me...
I paced and I growled. I shouldn't have let her go!
I'm struggling with my rogue ways and my new found mate.
That's it...
I decided to follow her onto there territory and to watch her.
******************
I was worried and shattered by what I heard and saw.
Rage filled my every cell in my body.
She was with them...an Alpha and a Beta.
In a dominating tone the Alpha commened her to come in her office.
She was submissive to them.
"Close the door." The Alpha spoke to my mate.
I could sense something wasn't right about this man.
He didn't look at her like a girl. There was more then meets the eye and I don't like the way he makes my mate feel.
"I called you here Lacey because we have a predicament."
She was nervous...afraid even...
"Our cousin pack is at disarray. Their Alpha has killed his Luna because she failed in giving him an heir.
"So the Alpha is coming here under invitation to see if he can possibly find a new mate. I have chosen you and a handful of other young ladies, to see if any you are of his liking. If you are the one chosen by him, you will married him immediately and therefore you will give him a pup. If you fail to provide him with an heir, you will killed."
I growled! I was in rage...
Xander!
Lacey knew that I knew... I heard and felt everything...
***********
I left the proximity of the pack house.
This was interesting how no one has noticed my being close... Or at least I thought.
I smelled that same sweet pear and honey smell.
Her home.
I entered the house. No one was home.
I found her room.
It was sweet. Girlish. Innocent.
I smiled and the sweetness of my precious mate.
I heard something. Someone is here.
I crept to the back door and quietly let myself outside.
"I told you I saw a strange dude around here on our territory."
"I believe you but the smell is weird though. I mean, he smells like a rogue but it's off."
"I got a whiff of your sister but he could have just been close to where she could have been."
"We should tell your dad."
"He's busy with the Shadow Rain Alpha."
"He's here?"
"Yeah. Some issues in their pack."
"Well then we should tell my dad. He will know what we should do."
They grabbed some things and left.
My gut told me something bad was a head.
