I found the cave I called 'home'. I walked deep into the belly of this cave. I found my bed and pawed it some. Turning and pawing. I finally laid down. I let out a big sigh giving way to a yawn. Killing others is tiresome. But the taste of blood is what I live for. I give one final stretch and drop my head and body to my side. Sleep takes me. The nightmares await me. But death seems to evade me. There is nothing for me. At least that's what happens to rogues...

Lacey looks at herself in the mirror one last time before heading to the kitchen for tea and breakfast. She has a slender frame with just the right amount of curves for a girl of 18.
Her auburn hair falls straight to the small of her back. Her green eyes sparkle like emerald's. Her skin is golden brown with freckles across her nose. Her mouth is full and slightly pouty. She never wears makeup. Her clothes are simple. She never tries to stand out in a crowd. Today she decided to wear her light blue jeans, a light grey t-shirt, a dark purple zip up hoodie and some black sneakers.
Lacey's father is Beta Thomas Blaire. Her uncle is Alpha Harrison Blaire. Our pack is known as the Briar Fern pack. My mother is Maylah and my aunt, the Luna, is Claire.
The Alpha and Luna have a son Peter, our future Alpha. My half brother, Jessie, will be the next Beta. My father was married to Jessie's mother but she sadly died in child birth. My mother came to our pack after her pack had been slaughtered by rogues. My father knew it was fate and she was his second chance mate.

I gave myself one quick look over before heading to the kitchen for tea and breakfast. It was quiet in the house. The Alpha and my father were away on business. Peter and Jessie were training the warriors in our pack. Luna looked over the pack when the Alpha was away and my mother was the pack doctor.
I was alone. But it was nice. I heated up the tea kettle, cut up some pear and banana. I added the fruit and some granola to my vanilla yoghurt. The kettle to hiss. I got my cup and poured the water. Seeping the tea bags until my tea was dark amber. I added honey to my tea. I grabbed my cup and bowl of yummy-ness and sat down at the breakfast table.
It was a beautiful Saturday morning. Spring was finally happening. I love spring. The fresh rain. The budding of trees and flowers. I finished my breakfast. I rinsed my cup and bowl and put them in the dishwasher. I added the soap and started it up. I went to the laundryroom and started a load of laundry.
"Lacey?" My wolf asked.
"Yes Kate?"
"Can we please go on a hike or something? Chores are boring." She yawned.
I giggled. Kate hated being cooped up.
"Yes girl." I said, smiling in reply.
I hurry up on my chores and headed outside. The sun was shining but it was still a bit cool out. I'm thankful I grabbed my favorite hoodie.
I headed for the trail I always take that leads up the mountain.
I can feel Kate getting restless, so I shift to my wolf and take off in a sprint.
My wolf was beautiful with russet red fur. Soft, pointy ears and the cutest, most fluffy tail ever! As a human, I'm 5'7. So as a wolf, I'm a bit smaller then most of the females in my pack. Yet no one can out run my wolf.
I ran the trail up the mountain until I could smell fresh water. It was supposed to rain so the smell of water intrigued me. I slowed my pace and looked around. I sniffed the air and found the direction of the smell. I walked threw a beautiful meadow, full of tall grass. And then I saw it. The prettiest lake I've ever seen. I'm not sure how far from home I was and if this lake was in our territory. I hopped and danced around the waters edge. I found a nice flat rock to lay down on. It reached out just enough for one to look at themself. I'm the only wolf with emerald green eyes in my pack. As I laid there, looking at myself in the water, I suddenly seen the reflection of a very dirty, matted looking wolf. Rogue!
