I woke up from a dreamless sleep to laughter. I forced my eyes open and glared at the noise before I realized why my father was laughing in the doorway. I was on my side but I had a pair of dark, strong arms wrapped about my naked torso. My cheeks went red as I tried to untangle myself from Owen but, even in sleep, he was annoyingly strong. “Shut up,” I whispered to my giggling parent. I glared at him for a moment. His smile was slightly too big, covering his face far more than it should.
