His voice sent chills down her spine. This was the first time he was calling her by her name and she loved it.
"Yes, sir. Emily. Good morning, sir." Emily greeted him politely while avoiding looking at his face.
“How are you doing? It’s been a long time since I last saw you.”He calmly said with a smile.
Emily hesitated for a second before she answered. “Yeah, it's been a while. I’m doing fine, sir."
"I can see that with my eyes,” he said, nodding his head gently while admiring her. “Look at you. You have grown into a very beautiful lady."
Emily felt her smile widen at his words. She wasn't expecting her formidable best friend's father to tell her sweet words like that.
