After the call with Bonnie, Jessica and I enjoyed our early dinner in comfortable silence. By the time we were done eating and cleaning up the kitchen—because I joined her this time—it was really dark outside. The night was just starting, and neither of us was ready to go to bed yet, so we decided to relax and chill out by enjoying a movie or two on the couch in the living room.
"I'll get some blankets and duvets," I said as I cleaned my wet hands with a towel.
Jessica nodded. "And I'll make some popcorn."
I went into the bedroom, grabbed a couple of blankets and a duvet, and then headed back to the living room. I arranged the duvet on the couch, making it as cozy as possible before sliding in to test out my handiwork. Satisfied with the arrangement, I pulled out my new phone
