I gazed up at Bonnie Harper, my eyes wide as I took in her worried expression at hearing her brother's words. Jack's words were still ringing in my head, and I couldn't help the shock I felt at seeing him thoughtlessly put himself in danger.
I couldn't help but worry about what would happen to Jack and Bonnie if they continued to help me.
“Where will you go?" Bonnie asked Jack, her voice trembling slightly. "You would need to keep her somewhere close to healthcare. Remember, she’s pregnant,” she added, picking up the food tray from the bed and dropping it on the bedside table.
Jack’s brows knotted as he considered her words, his mind working on a plan. After a moment, he looked back at Bonnie and said, “I’ll take her to my cabin at Harbor.”
