"You're telling me that's an ‘Eve’ detector right there on your wrist?" I ask, bewildered.
"Technically, yeah."
I turn towards the door. "You think she's hiding somewhere in your house?"
The thought of it sends chills down my spine. Kaziel's eyes grow dark with menace.
"That's impossible. If she was, I would smell her right away," he says, and I gulp.
"And right now, you can't smell her?"
He nods slowly. "What's even more unsettling is that we're the only ones in this house right now."
