Chapter 3

"What time are you going to see Chrissy, my love? my mom asked.

"When I'm done with this mom I need to get this done before Monday, it's the work of the kids which they had missed and I need to put pressure on them. Luckily they focus and they're catching up perfectly. You should see them mom." I spoke while typing on my laptop.

"I will bake them some cupcakes and then I will visit you guys at school. I hope it won't be a problem."

"No mom it won't you can after break which is around 11:am they will love you and i think they will like your cupcakes they're amazing." I told her, smiling down at her.

"Okay then my baby, are you having a nice time at work, no one is giving you a hard time? She asked, sitting down next to me.

"Not all i have already three friends who are really funny and nice and i think i like them but it's great mom."

"I'm really happy for you my daughter really." she told me and kissed me down on my cheek.

"Thank you mom for everything." I told her, seeing her smile.

"It's my pleasure baby and all glory unto the lord is his blessing my baby."

"I know mom, he has never forsaken us; he is always good."

"All the time my baby. I'm leaving get your work done and I'm baking cupcakes for chrissy and Miekie she ask for it please take it for them." she told me.

"Yes mom, just remind me."

"Okay sweetie."

I was on my way to my best friend and her mother's small bar in town and I was getting on my nerves for this taxi driving all around with me. Since I'm back from university we have decided to meet only once a week but sometimes i would go to the bar and help them out but today she just asked me to come and sit and have a drink.

I got out of the taxi and looked on my phone it was around 6:45 and the sun was almost setting giving a beautiful view out in down. I walked into the bar seeing it was already packed with people eating and drinking.

"Mom, look who is here! my best scream as she runs up to me with an apron around her body making me smile at her, she throws herself in my arms hugging me tight.

"How's my beautiful teacher doing? she asked, kissing one down on my cheek as I kissed her back.

"I'm fine, love , just happy to see you. Where's your mom? I asked her.

"She is in the back and we are busy today." she told me as we looked around the bar seeing more people walking in through the door.

"Lucia baby, I'm so happy to see you just look at yourself." aunt miekie said, squealing , making me laugh.

"Hi aunt miekie, I'm also happy to see mom how you are doing and mom asked me to give you this." I told her to give her the cupcakes, seeing her eyes light up in joy.

" My god, thank you so much and I'm fine, my baby. I'm just tired. I'm not finding my feets today. This place finally decided to be packed all day, I will see you." she told me and ran through the back door.

"Tell me how's the teaching stuff going? Chrissy asked, looking at me.

"It's fine, though not as hard as I imagine." I told her honestly.

"I'm happy baby girl you enjoy it,how's the kids giving you problems?

"Not at all, no they're the sweetest kids ever, really they're so cute my friend you should see them."I told her happily.

"I'm glad love what will you drink tonight? she asked.

"The same as always." My friend is kind of an alcoholic but she knows when and how to stop and I on the other hand no I'm not drinking that much and tonight I'm not going to have any alcohol I'm just fine.

"I'm craving just one cold one but it's a pity." she said, making me laugh.

"Oh no you can't drink you need to help your mom around here it's really busy. "

"Yes it is and we need someone to help but mom you know her." she told me, winking at me.

"I will tell her you really need someone to help out in times like this." I said taking my non-alcoholic cocktail fruit from her.

I wasn't exactly ready for a relationship or i don't know because I'm still not sure what i want. That two couples look really beautiful together and look in love. Relationships can be scary. I know about it. I have seen it with my friend. She is a player by the way.

"Where's Uriel? I asked her to walk in from the back door. Uriel was her boyfriend and this was her longest relationship she really love him i guess.

"Please don't ask me about him, and when are you getting yourself a guy? '' she asked, serving a guy next to me.

"Why not a girl? I teased her as she looked around her shoulder at me with furrowed brows making me laugh.

"What? I ask , laughing.

"You gay? She asked the guy for his shots. I flinched seeing him drink it down with one breath as I shook my head at him.

"I need sweet love." he told me and walked off, making us laugh.

"I'm just saying and i think I'm more attractive to girls than boys.'' I told her to drag my fingers down on my glass.

"I don't have a problem with who you date as long as you are happy." she told me and walk back towards the back door.

"Ain't we getting help around here! someone screams as I turn myself. I look at a table where four people sit with beautiful clothes on three women and one man, "and where's the waitress? A woman with brown hair asked me to look at me.

" Babe can you please give this to that table over there. "chrissy pointed at. She works so fast spilling out some of the beers.

" It's okay chrissy, it's okay i got this give it to me i will help.'' I said and took the bottle of beer from her and poured it into the class and took the tray.

"It's about time." the same woman with brown hair said. I put down their glasses in front of them saying sorry about the waiting and walk away.

"Shameless poor people." she said, making me stop as i felt a pain running down my heart, i pulled myself together and walked back to the bartender smiling at my friend.

"Thank you." she told me

" It's fine that some people can be so rude that they think because they are rich or own a huge place they're better than us. I hate all the rich people who think less about us."

"Forget about them darling." Have they said something? She ask with a grin

"Shameless poor people." I recall those words.

"And to say she is rich baby girl she is owned this hole town." she told me.

"What!

"Yes, she is Brenda Swartz, the richest diamond jewelry and spontaneous car business woman,'' she told me in a whisper as my eyes widened in shock as I looked around me at the table where she sat.

"Really no wonder she called us shameless poor people." I said , glancing at the table again.

"We are poor but what is she doing here in our bar? she asked, looking at the table too.

"My friend asked us if we are so poor but it seems they can't back off from us. I don't like her anymore.'' I told Chrissy and empty my glass.

"Here they come." Chrissy said as I looked around myself straight into the face of none other than Brenda Swartz, making me choke when I saw she was looking at me too. I turn my head as soon as possible and get off from my stool to walk behind the tender and pour myself a glass of water.

"I'm not staying longer guys. I have promised LJ I will not be late tonight." I heard her say to her friends as I looked at her, seeing her features clearly. She was indeed LJ's mother. She looks just like her and now I know why LJ has an attitude that she gets it from her mother.

" She has you around your finger. "another woman said as they laughed.

"Are you okay? Chrissy asked me.

"I'm teaching her daughter.'' I told her as I glanced at Brenda she was a beautiful woman with beautiful blue eyes making my heart skip a beat every time I looked at her.

"Wow oh my f**k your lying.?

"Mxm i don't know why I've told you. "I said , rolling my eyes at her.

" I'm surprised Lucia, that's all, then you should go and greet her. I heard she is lesbain. "

" And tell her what? I ask , raising my eyes at her.

" I don't know you, her daughter's teacher."

" Hi Joan, I'm your daughter's teacher . Nice to meet you, you crazy. "I told chrissy.

" Yes, just like you told me. "she said walking up to the girls and poured them they're shots.

" Lucia baby, are you helping? aunt miekie asks, walking in with clean glasses kissimmee on the cheeks.

" Yes, I can't let you do it all alone. I am very busy tonight. "

" Yes it is my baby will your mom be fine alone there? she asked me.

"She will be but if she is not she will let me know."

"Okay darling."

"Goodnight girls, you 're still having a goodnight here." she ask Brenda and her friends

"Yes thank you." The Carmel woman said looking at aunt miekie.

"Hi I can't help to hear you talk about your daughter LJ right? I choke as I look at Chrissy as she asks Brenda, which makes me stiffened.

"Yes do you know my daughter? Brenda asks with a frown on her face looking at Chrissy as I walk slowly towards the back door.

"No, not exactly but my friend over there is her teacher." I heard Chrissy say as I looked over my shoulder seeing her pointing at me as I ran through the back door breathing in and out how could she.

"Are you crazy.? She asked me when she opened the back door looking at me.

"You crazy one, how could you put me like that in the spot.? I ask her.

"What's wrong with you? she asked me.

"Nothing, I just thought of hooking you up with someone."

"What, with her oh no she is my learner's mother forget about that chrissy i don't want someone please.."

"Oh ok then babe I'm sorry can you come out now."

"Lucia baby are you alright?aunt miekie asked, looking between me and chrissy.

"Yes mom I'm fine."

When we walked back into the bar Brenda and the other two women were looking at us as I glanced at Chrissy as she pushed me to the front and placed a tray of shots in my hands, "mind giving it to them? She asks and walks away.

I faced the girls and sighted walking up to them and taking off the six shot glasses." I didn't know my daughter had a new teacher? the Carmel beauty asked me.

I look at her smiling," oh no I'm new there and she was switched to my class that's all."I told her and walked away from her.

" I'm going to change that. "she told me as i turn to look at her with furrowed brows," no child of mine will be in a class of a teacher who is working in a bar too.''

" It's your child like you say you can do what you like i don't care. I'm just there doing my work as best as I can and this is my family and yes I'm helping them out."I told her and walked away from her.
