Chapter Three Doing the impossible Emmi Parker’s Point of View I could not believe that this was happening. Out of the entire female in the world or all that had lived in this pack, that f*****g p*****t had chosen me to ruin. All I did in this pack was to be someone who could be of use, someone who had guided his warriors to heal after all the battles that would have ended badly as he could not lead a troop for all his life. To how someone like him is an Alpha does baffle me. I always knew that something was weird about him, and my entire life in this pack, I did everything I could, so he was not close to me. I do not get where he gets the idea that I wanted to marry him, let alone be happy with him. I do not pose any power to control a pack much more than a human who could. A lot of Luna that I have read about were humans. They pose no changes in the pack of the change. If ever, they were the type of Luna known in the whole realm. Humans who were forced to live in the world of werewolves had always been the type of leaders who had been more successful than most. They were more resourceful and one that had handled more than what a female wolf had ever done. Werewolves who marry their mates do not mean that a child could get dangerously weak if the mother is a human. There were no cases in our books that an Alpha had experienced that. Unless he is a weak Alpha, who needed always to be dominant. Am I angry? No. I am f*****g livid. Why do I have to live a life where people think they hold the key to controlling me? When my mother told me that I was marrying him, I was left with no choice as many warriors watched me. I know that many of my friends in this pack would be confused with this. They knew that I would escape, or they thought that someone would save me. Many of my patients and co-doctor wanted to visit me, but only my mother was allowed inside... well, along with the people who were making me beautiful. Despite my need to get out of this place, I know that there are things that could implicate me. I could die if I ever get caught running away from them, and there is not a single chance that I could outrun a bunch of warriors, let alone an Alpha who was trained enough by the daily that will pass. But I needed to escape. “Emmi! Oh, my moon goddess! Darling, you look so beautiful!” Mother cheered as she opened the door and saw me. She was just ecstatic about wearing a designer brand of clothes, and that was it. She never cared or thought about my place in this scenario, if I would be shaken or terrified of what was happening. Nothing about my happiness is being considered, and I wouldn't say I liked every second of it. Twirling around, she sends me a big smile on her behalf. At least one person is happy. “Don’t I look, beautiful dear?” The sadistic part of this is that this is the first time I saw her this happy. “Of course, mother.” I nodded, pushing up a small smile for her to see that I was not freaking out inside about everything that was happening before me. The last thing that I would want is for her to report to the Alpha about all of this. I would know that she was the person who had told them about my schedule and one of the arms who are controlling me. “I can’t believe that I am the mother of the Luna!” She all but cheered, and I felt mortified knowing that she was excited about this rather than scared that her Alpha wanted to marry someone who was incredibly younger than him. Instead of thinking about me, she was gushing about something that I did not wish to. “Is this the room of the bride?” A girl who had red hair asked as she peaked on my door. Upon seeing me, she all but jumped like she had seen someone she was looking for in days. “I’m sorry, I needed everyone to leave for me to prepare the bride.” Who do I feel like I have never seen her before? Mother only nodded, smiling through it all. “Please make her very beautiful!” “Of course, that is my job.” The woman with the red locks replied as she bowed, opening everyone's door to move out. A sigh escaped from me as I walked to the large window. I was wearing a gown fitted through my body, showing all my curves in all the right edges. It was an article of clothing worn for a woman who wanted to show her body, and that was who they posed me as. This gown was picked because that old man wanted to see my body. I shivered, remembering that he did plan to take me tonight. “You are too young to be a bride.” She said, tilting her head to the side. I nodded, unsure of what to say. “Yeah... I guess.” “Do you not want to marry him?” I stilled by the words, hands tightening on the portion of the dress. My mind was expecting the question, but I am sure it was fairly obvious that I. did not like this. Not one bit. She grinned, chuckling softly as she moved behind me. I was only trained to look at myself in the mirror. That was the only thing that I was allowed to do to the number of people inside. So I did it to her, knowing that she would want the same thing. But why was she only focused on the thing inside my room rather than fixing me? “There, I am done.” “Uhm, you didn't do anything?” confused, I looked back at her. She was standing at the back of my room, crossed arms, and grinning at me like she had found out something she had liked. “That's what you think.” She uttered. I waited for her to explain everything when she walked back close to me. She was wearing the same uniform as all the other women who had entered my room, but something was not the same in her clothes. I just could not put my finger on it. “Now.” She smiled, grabbing my shoulders to let me face the mirror. Confused as I was, my mind thought she would start at her job, but she still did not say anything. Being very careful with her words, she whispered. “Listen well, Emmi. An attack will happen in 10 minutes, and it could route into your own sense of escape. You have little time to slip under where you are placed and fled from here, but I trust that you can do it.” I stilled, looking at her while she was faking to fix my hair. I replied, being sure that this was not a test and her scent was not with the pack. “You are not someone that he had hired for me, right?” “No, that fucktard could never hire someone like me.” She smiled, leaning close to me. “I am an enemy. My people will be raiding this place in no less than minutes.” “Then why…” She smiled, patting my head before moving out of my room. While I do not know if she states anything but the fact, there is no harm in trying. Wolves only rely on their noses for senses, and if a raid is coming, those who are watching over me needed to make sure that they could protect me. As that woman says, I only have a short time making sure that I have things right. Walking back into my chair, my brow raised as I saw a small note. Knowing who was the only person inside this place when I stood up from that chair—it must have come from that woman with red hair. Picking it up back, I smiled. There was also one thing that I am grateful for in being a doctor: helping others who I will never guess would pose such a fascinating escape for my life. Already knowing that they had covered my area by placing a small bomb on my place, I had torn my veil and gown into pieces before shifting into my wolf. A slight grin escaped my lips before the alarm had started, letting me shift back into my human form in the nude. Knowing the area placed for me, I had pulled it up and saw a space for me to sprint. My wolf quickly controlled my body as I dashed out of that place. “I am free, finally free from all of them,” I whispered as my wolf continued to run. Behind my running from was the sound of a bomb going off in the room where I was placed. My pack connection broke. Emmi Parker—Young doctor, and set to marry the Alpha, is dead… never will she come back again. There was no coming back from this.
