As were the restraints bound to her wrists and ankles. Her light-mocha colored skin glistened from her sweat. Her dark brown hair was a tangled and frizzy mess. A stark contrast to her endless efforts keeping it straightened and beautiful.
Aside from her presence, the environment was silent and sterile. Her rapid breathing echoed into the eternal distance and returned sounding like wind.
