Caryn found herself staring at the birthday card on her bedroom dresser. Her mind; once again, racing through the series of events that transpired ever since it arrived at her job. The card itself was not very special. It was quite plain. The most generic of coloring with even more generic text. On the outside it simply read "Happy Birthday".
