Chapter 25
I was about to get out of Reese's truck when he drew me in for a deep kiss that left me dizzy before he let me go with a smile. Ugh. That sly devil knew the effect he had on me and used it.
After I regained my senses, I said, "Thanks for the ride. Love you, see you later."
Reece's face was wiped clean with humor, and his expression stilled.
A pang of regret ran through my system. Had I revealed too much?
His eyes turned warm, and he searched my eyes. "Love you too, baby. Remember. All you gotta really think about is talking to your pops, and that's it. Take it one step at a time."
"Sure." No time like the present to practice. I got out of his truck and went inside.
A different guy was sitting behind the desk. "Hi, Sarah Stevenson here for Stevenson Law, 10th floor."
