Sofia's POV
I hurried through the house in my search for Jacob. Thinking about it, I haven't seen him since we got back. He'd carry our bags inside, then he disappeared. Poff, and he was gone! I didn't think twice about it. He's been distant ever since we got the news about Hugo. I figured he needed space, that's all.
I wonder where he would have gone? And why didn't he stay for the surprise that he had prepared?
Down on the couch, I hear vibrations. Jacob's phone is there along with his clothes. I guess calling him won't do.
Instead, I call Maggie. I take deep breaths as I wait for her to answer. He might be out for a run, checking the borders or something. He hasn't shifted for a couple of days. And besides, he has been stressed about this whole situation.
