Fighting

492 Words
When we feel hurt it's only natural and human to feel the urge to hurt back. The strength required to walk away is always more than what you need to win the fight.         Every one has gathered and a hush hangs over the crowd. Everyone was surprised that Alea had shown up but they were quick to line up and apologize with many even thanking her since she and her mate were responsible for so many of the changes that had improved their lives. Most of them admitted to treating her badly without orders simply to avoid angering the alpha, though they all admitted that makes it worse not better. Alea understood though and held no grudges. After all who's to say if she were in their shoes she might have done the same.     After everyone finished apologizing, Alea couldn't quite shake the feeling that something was wrong. She kept looking for Maddie, "Moon Goddess where is that child? What could be taking her so long?" Let's go check," said Lillith. So they started looking, she wasn't in the game room, or the pool room, or her bedroom, with each room she felt her panic growing. Maddie had been doing just a little better but was still shy and didn't feel comfortable in large groups. As she walked by the basement she heard a soft muted laughter. As she went down the steps the sight before her broke her heart and snapped her control on her wolf. There tied to a chair bloody and crying sat her precious little girl. With a roar that shook the pack house to it's very foundation she ran down to Maddy. Lionel having heard the roar raced in as she untied and lifted Maddie's sobbing trembling form to her chest. As she opened her mouth to speak Lionel roared his rage at this betrayal of his Luna. "You have until we tend to our daughter," the power and anger in his voice making them all whine except for Alea," you are hear by banished from this pack." Before they could move Lillith spoke her voice as soft and cold as the ever frozen forrest. "Be gone from these packlands before i finish tending her or I will lead my pack to hunt you worthless rogues!" Having given her warning she and Lionel then took Maddie to the pack doctor. As they slowly cleaned her up Alea's rage only grew, Silver both blade and liquid had been used and salted with a powerful mix of herbs but what hurt the worst was Althea's scent soaked the clothes. Her own sister had been behind the horror and pain Maddie had suffered. She couldn't understand it, and suddenly she realized she didn't care, for Maddie they would all die. Lillith took control and with one pain filled hateful howl whipped the pack into a fierce frenzy that only the blood of those she smelled Maddies fear and pain on.
