SHADOW LORD

The Dreamweaver's eyes shone with approval. "Excellent!" he said. "Now, let us begin your training. We must prepare you for the challenges that lie ahead." He led Blank to a clearing in the forest, where a circle of stones had been arranged on the ground. "This is the Circle of the Elements," he said. "It is here that you will learn to harness the powers of the earth, air, fire, and water." Blank looked at the circle with awe and trepidation. "I'm ready," they said, their voice quavering only slightly. The Dreamweaver nodded, his expression serious. "Close your eyes," he said. "Now, reach out with your senses. Feel the energy around you. Feel the earth beneath your feet, the air against your skin, the fire in your heart, the water flowing through your veins." Blank did as the Dreamweaver instructed. They closed their eyes and tried to sense the world around them. At first, they felt nothing but the wind rustling the leaves above their head. But then, slowly, they began to feel a tingling sensation in their fingertips. The tingling sensation grew stronger, spreading up their arms and into their chest. They felt a sudden heat building in their core, as if a fire were burning within them. Then, they felt a cool, soothing sensation, like water flowing through their veins. Finally, they felt a deep, solid foundation beneath their feet, as if they were rooted to the earth. "You have done well," the Dreamweaver said, his voice soft and approving. "You have learned to feel the four elements within you. "Now, we must begin to control these elements," the Dreamweaver said. "Let us start with earth. You have felt the power of the earth beneath your feet. Now, imagine that you can draw that power up through your body, into your hands." Blank did as the Dreamweaver instructed. They imagined roots growing from their feet, drawing strength from the earth. They felt the power of the earth flowing up through their body, until they could sense it pooling in their palms. "Good," the Dreamweaver said. "Now, focus on that energy in your palms. Imagine that you can shape it into whatever form you desire." Blank focused all their concentration on the energy in their hands. They imagined it flowing and taking shape, until finally, they felt a small pebble forming in their palms. "Open your eyes," the Dreamweaver said. Blank opened their eyes and gasped. In their palms was a small pebble, solid and real. "Well done!" the Dreamweaver said, a smile spreading across his face. "Now, let us move on to air," the Dreamweaver said. "Feel the air flowing around you. Draw it into your lungs, and hold it there." Blank drew in a deep breath, feeling the air filling their lungs. They held it there, imagining it swirling around their body. The air felt electric, full of energy. "Good," the Dreamweaver said. "Now, focus on that energy within you," the Dreamweaver said. "Imagine that you can direct it, like a great gust of wind. Feel it swirling around you, ready to be released." Blank imagined the energy swirling faster and faster. It felt like a great storm was brewing within them, ready to be unleashed. "Release it," the Dreamweaver said.
