Blitz had new ministers deployed from the surrounding states to manage affairs in the capital, since the king had slaughtered the ones before. Of course, these new ministers were happy to oblige. Serving in the capital meant new opportunities. They would be able to influence the king’s succession, back whichever prince they wanted, and through their “hard work,” secure higher positions at court. The possibilities were endless.
