Chapter 9

Shin

After a week of the shooting I was on bed rest bored out of my mind only company I had was my family and Song Ju but even they had things to do.

"Song Ju, what do you plan on doing about school?" I asked

"For now I'm taking online classes but in the fall I'll be in classes. Why?" He asked.

"That's good I just don't know if I'm holding you back althou-" he cut me off.

"Shin I already told you I don't mind taking care of you and the baby" he says

"I know but, I just help but wonder I'm holding you back. You may say that now but I guess I don't know" I say

"What's on your mind Shin?" He asked

"Don't you think we are rushing this relationship I haven't even process it yet that we are dating everything is just for the sake of the baby and the lie we told pur family" I say

"Do you want time to think about it?" He asked worried

"Truthfully I don't know, my brain is in it but my heart is telling me just to consintrate on the baby and not think about anything else" I say

"Do you want me to leave?" He asked, I look at him with hurt in his eyes.

"No I like having you around I'm just telling you if you won't regret any of this even if we sperated in the future" I say

He open his mouth to speak but then closed it as he thought about what I said to him.

"What if you found someone better and decided to be with them, where would that leave me and the baby?" I say

"I get what your saying you want yo fall in love but I might end up falling for someone and it would be to late for you to let me go, right?" He says

"Exactly so that's why we should really think about this if this right to do before it's to late so nobody has to get hurt in the end" I say

"Okay, I'll think about it as well but we should just keep pretending for our family's sir I don't want Leigh getting upset knowing that's Chins baby your carrying" he say

"I don't want that too, so do you want the ring back?" I asked

"Why don't you hold on it it. If you think it isn't right you can give it back but only if you made a decision that you believe is true" he says

I nod and take the ring off putting it on the necklace I got from my brother, Song Ju help me.

"For now it will be close to my heart until I make a decision" I say

"Okay get some rest" he says

I nod my head and lay back onto my bed as I close my eyes but sleep doesn't come I just lay there and think do I love Song Ju or is it just me thinking I love because he is helping me on the other hand Chin already has a baby for another woman that he loves which make my heart hurt for some reason. Soon I just let it be as I fall deep asleep.

Chin

"What are we waiting for?" One of my men said

"The buyer" another says

Right now we are in China making a deal with one of the gangs here, I haven't talk to Song Ju or Leigh since I left but I been meaning to talk with Shin about this baby thing I know Song Ju is doing something stupid but can't help that my little brother has a big heart sighing out I take my phone out and look for the number when I get it I text not in the mood to talk.

[We need to talk]

[Whose this?]

[Chin]

[Oh, how did you get my number?]

[I have my ways, can we talk?]

[Okay meet you at Dong Sum cafe?]

[Tomorrow at noon?]

[Okay]

I lock back my phone as I see a car pull up, time to get to business.

Shin

My hands are sweaty as I look at my watch almost noon, I sip on the water in front of me my be this isn't a good idea yeah deffenetly not a good idea I grab my things ready to leave when I hear footsteps coming near, I turn and see Chin.

"Sorry to keep you waiting" he says

"I wasn't waiting long" I say, only 30minutes but whose counting

He takes a seat in front of me.

"You hungry?" He asked

"No I'm fine thanks though" I say

"You sure I could get you something" he says

"No I'm good. So what did you want to talk about?" I asked

"My brother and the baby" he says

I nod as I look at him oddly I feel less uncomfortable around him now must be because Song Ju told me about him.

"What is it do you want to know?" I asked

"How are you doing?" He asked, catching me off guard.

I quickly cover it up and move away from the subject of myself.

"Song Ju and I talk about giving our relationship a break and see if this is what we really want. As for the baby is fine everything is healthy" I say

"What do you mean relationship?" He asked.

I can feel the air has stiffen.

"Meaning we won't regret anything if we do end up together" I say

"And if you guys aren't together?" He asked.

"Then will just be friends like we been for two years for now we are just thinking if it's good for the both of us" I say.

"And the ring" he says, pointing to my necklace.

Did he want the necklace to give to Leigh? I touch it and quickly unclip it and take the necklace off.

"Here" I say, giving him the ring.

"I wasn't asking fo-" I cut him off.

"I know, but it's a family ring right? So I'm guessing you want it back for your girlfriend. If you'll excuse me I have to go I have an appointment" I say

I quickly grab my things and leave my heart is racing, I hear someone call my name not wanting to turn as I feel tears about to come down my face, I see a cab and quickly get inside.

"4578 Shung Lane" I say

There was a tap on my window but I lock the door the driver doesn't move.

"Go please" I say

He looks at me in the mirror and nods as he drives off.

Chin

"f**k!" I yell out as the cab drives away.

I look down at the ring in my hand.

(Its family ring right)

I didn't mean to get it back I just wanted to know damn it now she must think I wanted yo give to Leigh, I turn ready to leave when someone stops me.

"Sir seems your lady left this" a male waiter says

I nod as he hands me Shin's necklace with her letter S on it in diamonds I get back into the car as my driver leaves I hold the necklace and put the ring back with it, I can give it back to her next time I see her.
