REBIRTH OF CLARA

Chapter Seven: Discovery

Klaus stands in the abandoned building with some other werewolves. He frowns and is agitated as he is having some word with them.

"I believe you all know how vicious and ruthless Alpha Lucian can be and I want to believe you all don't want to mess with him" Klaus warned. He nodded and looked at them.

"You all understand what you need to do, right?" They nodded as they transformed to a full werewolf, they ran deep into the forest as they couldn't be seen anymore.

"I really miss my father, was he a good person?" Clara said to her uncle, who was beside her, she asked, as her voice broke.

"He was the best among us, he died an honourable death" Jerry hesitantly said.

Jerry wipes her eyes with his hands and he places both hands on her face as she leans her face properly against his hand while holding Jerry's hand. She smiles and sniffs and she looks at her uncle, who gives her a smile.

"I've got something that I believe should be known to you" Jerry said as he looked at Clara, who had stopped crying. Her eyes were bleeding as tears found their way down to her cheek.

She looked comforted and she sat properly on the bed, eager to listen to her uncle.

"I'm listening uncle, what'd you want to talk to me about?" She asked, still sniffing her nose.

"We've discussed this earlier but truth be told, you need a suitor, you need a mate, a suitor" he said as Clara looked intensely at him, waiting to hear what her uncle had to say.

"I discussed this with Lucian, the alpha of Phantom Park, he wants you as his mate; he demands you to be brought before him." Jerry said, looking ashamed.

"What'd you tell him? You know I don't want him, besides, I barely know who this alpha is. All I know about him is rumours. Rumours have it that he's very rude and vicious. I can tell everyone hates and fears him." Clara said, looking rather pissed and sad.

"Well, I'm sorry, my dear niece, I had no say in that. My Luna, Kiara, your aunt agreed with this. You'll have to go to Lucian." Jerry looked less concerned about what he said.

"I am going nowhere." Clara yelled as she left the room and banged the door. Jerry followed, Clara went down using the stairs. Suddenly, Jerry came down and they both met Kiara coming in from the back door.

"What's the commotion about?" "I could hear Clara yelling from a distance. Anyone mind telling me what happened here?" She continued.

There was silence for a while but Jerry broke the silence. "I just told Clara about Lucian's request but she doesn't want anything to do with Lucian," Jerry said as he sighed.

"Your uncle is right about this, Clara. You need to listen to us about this, this is the best decision and always remember we want what's best for you. Becoming Lucian's Luna will make our park even stronger'' Kiara said, looking zealous, waiting to hear what Clara had to say.

"I have said this a million times over, I don't love Lucian, besides, I know nothing about this so-called Alpha." Jerry and his Luna, who stood close to Clara, became frightened by a rattling sound heard from outside.

"Who's there?" Jerry said, but no one answered. They turned as they heard a creaking sound. As both turned to look at who it was. The door knob opened as they walked through it.
