Danielle woke up to the sound of her alarm blaring in her ear. She groggily reached over to turn it off, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She lay in bed for a moment, thinking about the day ahead. She had a coffee meetup with Alexander, and she couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions - excitement, nervousness, and a dash of uncertainty.
After tossing off the covers, Danielle swung her legs over the side of the bed and planted her feet firmly on the ground. She stood up, stretching her arms above her head, and arched her back in a languid stretch. Her mom, Folake, poked her head into the room.
"Good morning, dear! Don't forget to eat breakfast before you head out."
Danielle smiled, feeling a little more awake now. "I won't, Mom. Thanks for reminding me."
She padded into the bathroom, flipping on the shower. As the warm water cascaded down her skin, Danielle felt her muscles relax. She took her time getting ready, blow-drying her hair and applying a light layer of makeup.
Downstairs, her family was bustling around the kitchen. Her dad, Dele, was making pancakes, while her brother, Tunde, was arguing with her mom about what to wear.
Danielle laughed, feeling a sense of normalcy wash over her. "Hey, guys, no need to fight. It's just a casual meetup."
Her mom smiled, handing her a plate of pancakes. "We know, dear. Just be yourself, and have fun."
As she finished breakfast, Danielle felt a sense of gratitude towards her family. They always knew how to make her feel better.
With a spring in her step, Danielle headed out the door, feeling a little more confident about her meetup with Alexander.
As Danielle walked to the coffee shop, she couldn't help but think about Alexander and what their meetup might be like. She had been looking forward to it all week, but now that it was finally here, she was starting to feel a little nervous.
When she arrived at the coffee shop, Alexander was already there, sipping on a latte. He smiled as she approached, and Danielle's heart skipped a beat.
"Hey, you look great," he said, standing up to greet her.
Danielle blushed, feeling a little self-conscious. "Thanks, you too."
As they ordered their drinks and sat down, Danielle couldn't help but notice the way Alexander's eyes crinkled at the corners when he smiled. Or the way his hair curled slightly at the nape of his neck.
But as they chatted, Danielle started to feel a little confused. Alexander seemed friendly and charming, but he wasn't exactly flirting with her. Was this just a friendly meetup, or was he interested in something more?
